Anybody who actually has watched the Sixers and understood basketball knows we would be better off with any wing that’s athletic in place of Tobias Harris. In theory Tobias Harris is great, but against good teams he’s not athletic enough to make an impact around the rim or on defense and his shot doesn’t fall in clutch moments.

Martin & Korkmaz were 1-9 in a combined 28 minutes. Reed was limited tonight to 22 minutes. There is no reason to think that replacing Tobias with Martin is a net positive, but you could argue that putting Reed back in (when he was out) would have helped.
It’s easy to guess in hindsight that someone should have been kept in or left out, but in Martin’s case, you can’t justify even that.

His only decent minutes were when he was guarding Tatum. Tobias is an extremely unversatile defender whose weaknesses can be game planned around but he’s actually pretty decent at keeping Tatum in front of him, and other guys about Tatum’s size. Once Tatum left the only positive thing about Tobi in the game also left.
