“I haven’t changed my shot my entire life. I have had the same shot since my mom made it when I was 3 years old.” – Gradey Dick dismissing the idea of the Raptors changing his shot.

I guess this flies in the face of all of the people who were trying to breakdown YouTube videos and taking screenshots, claiming that the Raptors messed with his shot.

It makes sense. Why would the Raptors draft arguably the best shooter in college basketball last season only to tell him the shot that got you drafted is not working and you need to change it. Makes no sense!

  2. Blake Murphy already sorted this out. Why are they still asking Gradey about it?

It’s entirely possible that suddenly entering a league with the the best players on earth would have a negative impact on his percentages.

The guy is a rookie and not a high prospect rookie. If he was, he would have gone early in the draft. He’s going to struggle and need time to find his game in NBA. Asking a rookie to change his shot 3 months into his career is ridiculous, especially when his shooting was his strength in college

I’ve been saying it all along. It’s the speed of this new game that’s getting to him. Kid is still caught in the headlights. He will get it going in due time.

  6. Mans is a rookie 20 games into the season. I’m still giving him plenty of time to figure things out. Gotta be multiple factors to it; new coach for raptors and the system, college vs nba 3PT line, his touches, players figuring it out, coaches, routine, etc.

Changing his shot would be like changing his last name.

He’s a kid with the yips. That’s what changes his shooting. Not as juicy in modern media.

He’ll turn it around the man’s gonna be an all-star. Just not in his rookie year

It didn’t even look different from watching his college highlights where did this speculation come from lmao
