[Sam Amick] PJ Tucker: “There’s not enough basketballs on the planet for this team, really.”

> In the weeks since Harden finally got his wish, joining Kawhi Leonard, Paul George and Russell Westbrook on this Clippers team that features four future Hall of Famers who all hail from the Los Angeles area, the process of maximizing all this perimeter talent has been as challenging as many predicted.

> As veteran forward P.J. Tucker put it, “There’s not enough basketballs on the planet for this team, really.”

  1. Good guy PJ. That’s why he doesn’t take any shots.

The Westbrook + Starters w/o Harden, and Harden + starters w/o Russ have both been good line ups, but they just don’t have enough good players not to play Russ with Harden (all the role players after the starting 5 are either non shooters or terrible defenders), and it’s an impossible fit, they made it “work” in Houston with very specific line ups when both of them were still mostly in their prime, but both of them are so much worse now (besides Westbrook randomly becoming a good defender all of the sudden)

You gotta assume there is a full quote out there lol

Yeah even discounting Westbrook who’s on the bench now none of Kawhi/PG/Harden are really known for their off ball play(PG is probably the best of the three but even his motor is inconsistent)

Guys like Steph or KD aside from being closer to their primes are also a lot easier to fit next to other stars

Meaning you shouldn’t have this dumb trade

is this dude seriously running his mouth because he’s annoyed at being DNP’d recently? score a fucking point my guy, I thought he was supposed to be a “lockerroom vet”. how does the cardio guy have the biggest ego lmfao

    gimme back morris jfc

Pace is way too slow, all 4 needs at least to dance with the ball in their hand for about 5 seconds each time before they pass the ball

This team is the embodiment of my turn your turn basketball. They have Harden, PG and Kawhi but at any one moment it is as if they only have one of them depending on who has the ball because the other two are relegated to being very expensive role players.

Terrance Mann is perfect for that starting group just needs some time to get his shot back. He does all the little things that don’t show up on the board. Ideally, the clippers need a more athletic center (Zubac is pretty damn slow and his hands aren’t very good) and I think the bench is good but a backup four is needed. PJ Tucker doesn’t cut it and Kobe Brown isn’t really ready yet. It’s very early still in the season so my opinion could change but that’s my early take

I would think if they had a really fast paced offense everyone could get the shots they wanted.

    There is.

It’s up to the players go grasp and understand it.

Not talking about if are playing against the Hornets or an early-seaon title team like ORL or whatever.

Come playoff time, it’s Kawhi time.

Are we sure Paul George is a future hall of famer?

PJ “I am the system” Tucker

  14. kaiWarDun

what’s stopping them from figuring it out like brooklyn did?

We need to introduce the pinball multi-ball concept to the NBA. If you can purposely get a wedgie two balls fall from the ceiling and you get to use both to score

  16. Viron_22

When are they gonna add the multi-ball shot?

This just in: PJ Tucker wants more balls

  18. PJ Tucker always out here trying to share the ball.

Possible to put article in a comment? It’s behind a paywall for me.

The team has played much better with Harden at the wheel though, finally. It wasn’t working with him and Russ side by side.

Harden trade is a huge mistake for the Clippers.
