I just hate every time they lose media just posted just because thereās nothing else exciting going on and honestly looking at a Thompson Defense & C and Jaden Ivy, not even play close to it or not even being that good and offensive when you do get minutes, itās hard to watch
The main PROBLEM IS IDENTITY AND CULTURE! The Pistons don't have any quality serviceable Vets they started to win a few games when the team had Derrick Rose and Grant. Troy dropped the ball and got greedy and bit because the Knicks gave up two 2nd rounders for Rose. Rose was your Vet and former franchise star to look at Cade and hold him accountable thats missing now he was also a mentor to Killian which he did Killian rookie year (people forget Killian missed much of his rookie year with a hip injury) but towards the end of the 2021 season Killian started to play better once again the Derrick Rose affect. The problem is when u hand the keys to a young guy without him earning the top dog spot what veteran do you have to check him alala Udonis Haslem and the Heat. The 2nd Blunder was the Grant trade I NEVER LIKED IT Troy gave Grant away practically because he didn't want to resign him yet he's the perfect inside out piece that Cade could have used, Grant can get his own shot and was starting to show more of his dribble package plus he had good pick and roll sets with Killian. The next bad move was trading away Bey if u move him move him for a stretch 4 such as Bradon Clarke who is being underutilized in Memphis bigger stronger team friendly deal and can shoot the three ball and space the floor for Cade to drive. And finally this teams culture stinks! This is the problem when u get used to losing its a hard stench to get rid of and teams start coming to your city and know they have an easy road win. Toughness and this team doesn't respond well to Adversity???? Per Monty Williams when u look at the roster who is the DOGS AND VETS that's not ok with LOSING ? And please don't say Stew this team needs a damn dog! Such as a PJ Tucker, Jonas Valanciunas, a Malik Monk I can go on and on and name guys that Troy can go get bottom line u can't have a bunch of kids out there trying to figure it out and compete after all the nba stands for NO BOYS ALLOWED!
whats so crazy is that the Pistons were a team I looked at on paper thinking they could win around 30-38 games
Would a team like the cavs be a sneaky team for Zach Lavine? I havenāt watched a whole lot of ball from them this season but Iāve heard the cavs seem pretty stagnant when Dmitch is out on the floor. Iām not sure who and what they would give up if that were to happen but I personally would like that fit if Zach lavine were to be in Cleveland.

Everytime people talk about the Bucks no one brings up their 4th quarter stats. Yes theyāve been struggling defensively but are the best 4th quarter team by a mile. Not to mention top 10 in defensive ratting and the Offensive rating in the 4th is 132! 5 points better than the pacers who are on track for the best offense in the history of the nba. Cmon P this the Heliocentric lock in.
Honesty first thing the Pistons need to do is make a call to Utah and see what they want for Lauri. This team needs a real 4 that can space for Cade. Beef Stew was fun but the experiment is over and move him back to the 5. Any trade we do is fine as long as we keep the core 4 of Cade, JD, Asuar and JI. Then we can make a call to the Bulls and see how low they value Lavine. Its also beyond too early to fire Monty. He needs time to adjust just like the players do. After that just find role players who can make shots, take care of the ball and defend. I dont think its time for Troy Weaver to be fired yet either. But we do need him to have a sense urgency. Overall, Cade is our guy and he deserves so much better. Eveything starts and ends with him. The franchise owes it to him and the city, to build around him and put him in the best position to win
Hey P, I love this podcast bro, keep it up ! Do you think Adrian Griffin's (AG) job is safe, and to what extent ? (i.e. what would it take for him to get fired or lose his job) Cos i'm not sure that giving him this head coaching job for his first season as a HC was the right decision from the bucks management/ownership. If I were the bucks I would have targeted Frank Vogel ahead of AG, cos I think he would have been a better fit for this roster. Seeing as they were both available at the same time, I think the bucks will come to regret giving AG the job.

as a bulls fan i think there are many positives out of this situation and seeing that coby white performance against the pels and the stretch heās been on, the patrick williams 6 game streak of double digit points and ayo being more aggressive just give me some hope that things may not be as bad as they seem. even when or if it turns into a rebuild, there will be bright spots
I've always felt like monty williams was an overrated coach cuz i remember when he coached new orleans and i just never saw him as that good of a coach

i think you were right about what you said on the pod in that some of these teams need to start drafting these 3/4 year college vets that can come contribute to winning immediately and not have to be some high potential crazy prospects. It seems like most of the young guys on the Pistons are still trying to figure out who they are as players and you cant be successful if your entire roster is basically players trying to find themselves

Honestly think they should through the bag at Dlo for next season. Run Cade at the 2 and let Dlo lead by example like he has at every other stop in his career (nets,twolves,lakers,ect)
Watching dlo on the lakers heās having a very sneaky year and his playmaking has been game changing for lakeshow.
As an org I think you have to keep Monty but the roster definitely calls for a retool. Stop with these project, donāt know what role they have players (bagely,Hayes,livers,wiseman) and start to build a rotation of guys who have denfentive traits.
Need to see that 4 spot addressed either through this year draft or by trade. They have a lot of āassetsā and cap to make a fine retool, think they just have way to many players who donāt know who they are fully.
As a suns fan Monty has always been like this. He always let teams go on extended runs and use the same āsometimes gotta let the guys figure it outā excuse every time. He didnāt even want to be there in the first place but couldnāt turn down the money. I think he should go as an unbiased fan
I appreciate the T Ross shout out, youāre 100% about a lot of guys not proper getting their flowers when they decide to change it up so it was cool to see you give him a little love an also the part about not taking guys like kd for granted really hit home. I think weāre about the same age growing up on guys like bron, Kobe kd, Wade, melo, ect itās going to be a sad day when they are all done. Anyone with a hint of basketball knowledge knows that half of their roster has been out. Bogdonavic(22points/game) has been out. Duren missed 8 games, Monte morris hasnt played yet, Ivey missed like 5 games. livers missed all but 6 games and Joe Harris has been out. How do yall expect to them to win games?? With Just Cade?? Who is basically in his 2nd year in the league!! Yall gotta be more realistic and knowledgeable when it comes to basketball. Have you made a video on the Spurs who basically has the same record as the pistons and doesnāt have not 1 key player injuryed???
pistons need to move whatever besides cade thompson and duren for a young shooting wing and tank out the rest of the season
As a Pistons fan, I can say I am disappointed. We need to start by getting shooting on the team and building around Cade to be successful. Yes weāve missed our vets due to injury but still, we need more ideal/versatile guys. By this point we shouldāve realized beef stew is a 5 in todays game. His shooting has gotten better but he needs a wider skill set to be a modern starting 4. Also itās time to get rid of Killian, Wiseman, Bagley, Burks, and BogdanoviÄ. Bottom line, our team isnāt built cohesively, it doesnāt make sense In 2023. We need more versatility and shooting. Target guys like Kispert, Niang, McDermott, etc.
Lastly, a hot take is that our starting 5 wonāt work. Having Ivey, Ausar, and Duren isnāt enough shooting. Not to mention Cade isnāt a great 3pt shooter so that doesnāt help. The only untouchables to me are Cade, Ausar, Duren, and Sasser.
