Orlando finished 34-48 thanks to a 29-28 record over the final two-thirds of last season. But that vast improvement was overshadowed by the dreadful start and left the Magic with the league’s sixth-worst record at season’s end.
The combination of Orlando’s youth, and where the Magic finished, left them off the radar when this season began. But that isn’t the case anymore.

Yes, I think we are about to get a lot of team’s best shot coming up. I think we were sneaking up on people a little and that won’t be the case anymore.
Let’s prepare ourselves for some ups and downs as we go through this rough stretch in the schedule. If the boys can stay together through a little adversity we will come out the other end a real playoff team.
We can get to about 45 wins if we just play .500 ball the rest of the way.
We were a play-in caliber team last year if it weren’t for injuries. People just saw our record and assumed we were just bad. Can’t blame them though I have no idea what injuries other teams have either.
