Whilst we are looking better than expected, this season is still primarily about development for future years, don’t think we should be thinking about trading until the end of the season

We aren’t going to shoot 9% from three every night, and I can live with us being a generally bad shooting team.
What I can’t deal with is players that are endlessly sidelined. What is even happening with Fultz? The guy just lives in the Magic treatment room. Can’t imagine his trade value is up to much, but we should be shopping him at the deadline. Even if he agrees to take a major pay cut on a new deal, there’s no point in keeping him around if he’s going to spend 50 games a year watching from the bench.

They missed some of open ones but one problem is we started going one v one and didn’t get many open looks for your bad shooters

The problem imo is, there is not much on the market which is (reasonable )available and a major upgrade.
Those ideas trading Gary Harris for a sharpshooters for example… Sorry, that’s bullshit.
The beginning of the season also convinced me, we are not that bad at the guard position, if at all, we need another 3 and d. The game CAN flow through Franz and Paolo + Cole and Joe.
Only guard position id like to see is maybe IQ. (Clear upgrades would cost us too much imo)
But overall I don’t think we will trade any of our 1-12 guys. There is simply too much space to grow in these guys. Maybe we simply use our capspace to go for a FA.

Idk who we could target without giving up something key in return.
I didn’t want to bring this up but Jett shot 3/12 from 3 from his last game & overall 33% from 3 (3.3 on 10 attempts per game) over the span of 4 games. Extremely small sample size but idk if we’re going to get any good minutes from him. Not yet, at least.
Maybe playing with better talent can get him up to speed. Sometimes the players around you can make a difference.
Edit: I think Caleb needs to show us something during this next stretch too.
