What Tobias is doing on this play describes his tenure as a Sixer

How is he still starting for us?

He’s there to get the rebound if the guy he left wide open happens to miss.

Also known as “I’m just gonna stand over here in case, you know, the ball bounced this way or something.”

I hate when someone drives into the paint, sees Embiid and kicks it out to Tobias’ man who relocated and is wide open because Tobi ball watching or “helping”

i was annoyed enough to mark down instances of tobi-isms like this in a notepad to maybe post later (i never will though because my annoyance is not high enough while not watching to care) and this is one of the clips i jotted down the time for lol

Show the play where he get the ball at the top of the key and doesn’t know how to pass it. 50 pump false and near turnover trying to lob it back to the three point line to Embiid

  8. It’s true. Harris does this type of stuff all of the time. He does it on offense, too. Harris has always been a low IQ player on both ends. Even at his best, Harris habitually misses rotations and fails to close out on shooters on D. On offense, he is a slow decision maker and poor passer. His court vision is terrible. Regardless of the situation, Harris is always flat footed and soft. He clearly hates contact on both ends.

Tobias, who may or may not be a nice guy (NO DISCLAIMERS!!) was able to drop six whole points, attempt one three point shot, all while playing some of the worst defense I’ve seen since the Jrue trade. This coming from a guy who will take any moment to remind us that he is undervalued by casual fans, and whose dad will remind Keith Pompey that he is a primary scorer that is miscast. Six fucking points! If PJ Tucker was still on the Sixers, Tobias would have outscored by him by four points.

I’m all for athletes making as much as they can. God bless them. The market will bear the salaries, and without them there is no sport. But this time, I don’t know, maybe some of it should go to charity or something. While you’re grinding away at your 40+ hour work week today, just try not to focus on the fact that Harris got half a million dollars last night for the most depressing cardio session in team history. It’s impossible! Is he one of the 400 best basketball players on the planet? Yes. Is it still infuriating? YES!
