Lakers fan coming in peace! Good game yall wish it could’ve been competitive, but I think you guys got a bright future ahead!
EDIT: …wtf?
Thank God my glorious Joel and AD didn’t have to see that monstrosity in person tonight.
Arguably the worst games I’ve seen in the Pelicans era considering the expectations. Embarrassing loss but it’s still early in the season and sometimes you have these nights. This needs to light a fire under our ass and we have to learn to show up if we want to have a crack in the playoffs.
The Lakers are better right now and losing was possible, but these guys were 2 wins away and with a really winnable final from the first championship ever for a franchise with just 2 1/2 playoffs appearance in what? 12 years? And decided to go full retard.
Monday is going to tell us if we give up on the season or not.
Embarassed on the floor on a big stage. We played like shit. Our players played like shit. At the end of the day, though, it’s only 1 game. Hopefully, we bounce back from this and learn from it.
Someone gotta get on the mic and say sorry to our fans 😂
Be serious in **everything** you do. If you’re not serious at **every** level then you’re just wasting everyone’s time.
trying would’ve helped
This was not fun to watch.
Im gonna go watch a Jackie chan movie or some shit ✌🏾
Willie is the Principal Skinner meme at this point. Am I out of touch? No, it’s the league that’s out of touch for valuing shooting and spacing.
A big lesson to be learned, we got straight punked
I know there’s literally the full season ahead, but dammit that was pathetic. This team just loves to disappoint. We are so hot and cold. Just a terrible performance tonight
I couldn’t watch the game but I was following the game cast. Saw the 1st qtr and we were up by 1. Then 2nd qtr, -13, 3rd -26, 4th with all their backups, -5.
JFC! What is Willie Green doing?
It feels like they threw this game on purpose.
Unserious teams jog back. OK teams run back. Fully bought-in teams SPRINT back, jam outlet, communicate, protect rim, & closeout hard on shooters filling corners/trailing
Next time you watch your squad on some evening,
intentionally key into their transition defense for insight.
From NBA University, kinda true the way we played tonight besides Herb.
Well, I hope that the team had fun in Vegas, because we sure as fuck didn’t.
I hope Z takes this one personal and adds SOMETHING to his game. The Lakers were completely disregarding him the entire game when he wasn’t 2-5 feet away from the basket.
Well that wasn’t pleasant. Them dudes definitely went out and played hungover. Nobody fucking showed up except Herb. Trey not getting enough playing time when we needed to score. And don’t get me fucking started in HAWK not seeing the floor. Burn the tape. Move on to Minnesota. Put Ant, KAT and Captain Baguette in the ground Monday.
I didn’t want to believe it, but I’m starting to question if Zion can still perform at a high level in playoff atmospheres
LeBron had 30/5/8 in 23 mins on 75/100/100. He gave an all time performance against an elite defender in Herb. Just can’t really do much if he’s doing this outside of shaking his hands.
Lakers defense also exposed some things where they were willing to let Herb and Jonas shoot those 3s, just creating terrible spacing. If Herb is so ineffective defensively like he was tonight, Willie should be willing to go to the shooter like Trey much quicker.
These next days will sting, but remember its December, plenty to learn and improve
we couldn’t do anything against their offense. the very least we could have done was try to fight back on the other end of the floor. fight offense with offense i don’t care do SOMETHING. never seen a team just watch themselves take a beat down. we failed on both ends of the floor
the team shit their pants in a historical game. the first ever game of its kind set in vegas with everyone watching. our biggest game since our last playoff series with everyone important healthy. when people look back in history this is what they’ll see. so embarrassing
It was over once Barkley picked the Pelicans to win.
The Lakers had an amazing night but this came down to the pels just pitiful performance, our guys looked like they didn’t want to be there from the jump
I haven’t seen a beat down like that since my ex-wife’s lawyers got through with me. And ironically I lost out on $500G just like our players did.
Fucking Lakers came out like they’d done meth and we came out like we’d been smoking hash and drinking absinthe.
So much blame to go around. And I wouldn’t be surprised if this loss affects the team’s psyche for quite a while.
Just brutal.

the silver lining is that it’s 0-1 if it was by 1 point or by 44 points
Serious question this is the first pelicans game I’ve seen all season, is no one concerned about Zion’s weight? Feel like he is absolutely squandering his gifts.
Those first half Zion minutes were a bad omen. As soon as he was subbed out in the second quarter they made a run and were down by one at halftime.
Looks like I picked a great night to take the wife on a date night. Checked the score four times. -10, -5, -25, then -40. Sheesh man
I’ve sat through many losses but this is up there with the worst of them. Many called out individual players in the GDT as responsible, but the team as a whole played poorly (Herb not included) No energy. No pride. This embarrassment is on all of them.
As one of my old coaches used to say, “time to decide who you want to be”. It sure as shit ain’t this
Time for another team meeting. Include Willie in this one too
Zion talked about that players meeting they previously had and how they had some tough conversations with him about changing…..I genuinely want to know wtf have you actually been trying to change on the court positively exactly?
Can me talk about Coach?
Can we talk about Hawk?
What a fiery poopstorm of a performance, I’m gutted fellas. Sadly never going to forget this one.
Our guys gotta go and apologize to Jose’s kids 😂
Shit is scripted
Pels need more from BI and Zion on a consistent basis; feels as simple as that.
I don’t know why we don’t have BI setting screens for Zion all day. The action gona make a mismatch for one of em.
Well this proves that we’re just a team that’s never going to win anything.
This franchise has way more embarrassing moments then it does actual great moments.
Zion went 75 FG% on only 8 attempts. Look decent on paper lol. To be fair, everyone sucks today.
Zion needs accountability, he’s supposed to be the “next Lebron”. He has to give more effort on his conditioning, he is clearly not the same zion we saw in college.
He is too passive, he has to have that alpha/killer mentality if he wants this team to succeed. Even with his limited bag, when he is in zhanos mode, he is unstoppable and good things happen to the team.
Charles was right!
Honestly I can’t put toooo much blame on Zion, He had zero spacing like like zero wtf else was he gonna do? And when he did try to score he got hit with charges or no calls but he seriously needs to get a mid range game down
“greatest prospect since lebron” cant even compete with 39 year old lebron lmao
Whole pelicans roster just sold my parlays man tough … can’t even predict this type of performance
To be honest when you’re down 15-20 and they’re going on a run it’s time to run 20 million screens for BI and let him go iso every time. Hero ball at that point and live or die by your most complete scorer.
That was a masterpiece…of dogshit
I was at the game and hoo boy. Zion, who is my favorite nba player, was out of breath three minutes after coming out of the game at the 8 minute mark. Didn’t sprint down the whole court once. Guy has to get in shape or he’s gonna bring this whole team down.
Offense was terrible. Somehow Lakers generate easy shots with movement and cutting while we jack up tough shot after tough shot. What a shitshow.
