Giannis has such a great feel for the game. And leadership.

Let’s just make him the coach and hire playcalling consultants.

    That’s not necessarily a rip.
He says “we got to be better” after every loss

It is INEXCUSABLE the number of times they allowed the Pacers to score in transition and more specifically after a made baskets. Effort and coaching have to be better.

Pacers came with playoff level intensity. The Bucks looked sloppy and dazed by the speed and aggression that Indiana played with.

“I feel like sometimes we’re not organized at all. We don’t know what we try to get from our offense, or sometimes defensively we’re not sprinting back. We don’t shoot a lot of early 3s. At the end of the day, you have to protect the ball. You have to know where the ball is. We had a lot of situations today that they got a lot of dunks, open 3s, early 3s. We have to be better.”

Is this a slight public prodding of coaching by Giannis? The coach he seems to have chosen, no less

Pacers looked like a team who wanted to win. Bucks looked like a team that expects to.

It’s interesting that Giannis himself is saying this, and blaming the players, because he himself is the leader of this team. Sometimes I wonder what his demeanor is like behind closed doors, whether he’s too friendly to ever actually criticize a teammate to their face even in a productive and necessary way.

At the risk of bringing the guy up, I think PJ Tucker’s greatest attribute as a Buck was his willingness to just say the fucking thing.

Giannis kinda callin out Khris & Dame(?) I think when talkin about turnovers down the stretch

Everyone should read what Giannis said. It’s not just a simple “we have to be better”. He basically blamed the players for lack of effort, lack of offensive coordination. Said that their bench kicked our butts. Then said that no matter what the coaches say, it’s up to the players to execute and not turn the ball over. To me, I think he’s referring to everyone on our bench. I don’t think he’s talking about Khris, Dame, Brook. Whenever our bench comes in, we are completely horrible. Like, G-league level. Our bench needs to step up.

  9. As much as I blame a lot of this on AG, I saw a lot of plays where guys just didn’t put in effort to get back on D, didn’t flash help side, and even on the offensive end, there were a few drives in the clutch where Dame was completely covered and he just tried to force it. Beasley air balling back to back 3-pointers. Missing bunnies from 1 foot out. Cam getting a foul the a T in a close game because it’s getting physical. Marjon abandoning the middle of the lane on zone defense. No one really knowing how to play zone defense.

I think that game just showed the worst of our weaknesses.
