This game boils down to one word, immaturity. Anyone that watched the pregame interviews could see the contrast. LeBron was like an experienced general talking about opening a new campaign in a major war. During B.I. and Zion’s interview they acted like frat boys during spring break. They seemed completely oblivious to their responsibilities to their teammates, the Organization, the NBA, and their fans. Their lack of focus was painfully apparent during the game. When in the national spotlight it’s time to show how far you’ve come, not how far you need to go.

LeBron took this team’s soul in the first three minutes when he directly challenged Zion on defense and each time Zion wussed out. Mentally after that the team was done whenever LeBron was on the floor. Totally dejected, lost focus, and no energy. As for Willie Green, I said as this team got healthy, it was going to be harder for him to coach with so many options. Can’t trust him to situationally pull the right strings or play the right pieces. Awful awful game on a big stage.

Just a notion here. Maybe out in left field. JV is no longer a productive NBA player (forget the double-doubles on offense…they're meaningless as far as W and L, because he's basically worth 20 points a game to the other team!) and there is a ripple effect on the other players…all the drivers have less space to operate because JV's defender is sloughing off to be part of the wall. He lopes up and down the court like a rec league player. He slows down the offense both passing and cutting. When Larry Nance (the healthy version) used to come in for him there was an immediate pick up in pace on both sides. JV can't stop crafty NBA players on any level. He makes 2 good plays per 25 minutes. Zion can't stand JV getting in the way, and he's sick of it. I bet that's part of his obvious malaise. As far as BI's mentality, JV could either leave the squad or shoot 40 shots a game and BI might raise one eyebrow in reaction to either. CJ has his wine business. Answer: Trade JV immediately for a young active big man, and/or rotate some other 6'8'+ team members to share the 5 position. Worth 10 games in the standings and the 3rd quarter blues would be over. One of the coaches must be on this glaring glitch factor, but not WG. Maybe WG and JV will be with a successful Euro franchise next year.. Bet they'd have more success. At the moment the current NBA is out of their league.
Trade Zion and BI. Could get so much in return. Get some players who care.
