[Stein] The Mavericks are spending the night in Portland before flying back to Dallas and Kyrie Irving, I’m told, is still at the arena. Coach Jason Kidd said there is no further update yet on the right foot injury that sidelined Irving for the second half of tonight’s road win.

Well at least he didn’t get sent to the hospital i guess lol.

Just going to have to wait and see until the next couple of days passes before we get the actual news.

Man…let an unfortunate DP fall lead to Kai being out for extended time. I’ll bring the popcorn.

  3. If he is out for an extended period of time… that is our season I fear, specially seeing how teams are playing Luka and refusing to let him do anything, he needs a 2nd playmaker to beat these doubles.

Thank god it’s not a knee injury. Hopefully he recovers soon

Still being at the arena is probably a good thing, if it was serious they would want to get imaging done ASAP

My optimistic gut homer feeling tells me he’s okay as he was gingerly up and walking immediately after the injury. If he’s back for Denver on the 18th and we go 2-2 in the meantime (wins vs Memphis and Portland again and Ls for LAL and MIN) I will consider that a blessing.

That’s all I can really think of.

Basing this off of nothing, I’m assuming the best case scenario has him back after New Years. On a realistic timeline, I’m expecting 6-8 weeks and a return around ASB. Definitely going to hurt until then
