He was extremely inconsistent. He can only really contribute as a wing because he can’t handle the ball at all, so this makes sense. Oubre is back, we have a plethora of wings, so may as well let Springer get a couple of weeks of game time whilst he waits for another opportunity.

Ok, which is it?
1. He was so sick he needs reps in G League to get back in game shape 2. Nick Nurse is Glenn Rivers
Knight725
dude single-handedly almost won the 2nd game vs the celtics and now is back in doc jail
nurse what is you doing

The Sixers defense is going to continue to be cooked then unless a trade for a POA defender happens then. Its inexcusable from Nick Nurse & Daryl Morey to send your only good POA defender to the G-League when your superstar big man is a drop big and needs a good POA defender that can get through screens so he cam focus on what he’s best at, protecting the rim. Sixers have the 21st ranked defense over the past 5 games and instead of realising you need to play your best defenders to have a good defense, they do that?

He just not good enough.

I pray that this is “he was really sick and needs easier reps to get back in shape” or “we’re gonna try some really weird shit in December and won’t use him much so this is so he can keep balling in the meantime.”
I can’t handle Nurse turning into another Doc.

Pretty shitty timing, especially with the “easy” schedule coming up, would seem ideal to give him plenty of reps to get his NBA legs. The team could really use his defense anyway, plus we’re probably playing Maxey, Melton and Bev far more minutes than healthy even if they’re going to be the primary guard core in the playoff rotation.

Isn’t this commonly what they do for MLB pitchers coming back from an ailment?
Not sure there is cause to panic yet but the timing is weird, I agree, especially because he’s probably going to be a supplemental trade piece by the deadline.

So the only good POA defender on the team gets sent to the G-League. Nice.

Kind of disrespectful at this point, no?

Rip springer truthers. We had a good run
Hay-blinken
This is weird.
Sinistahh
Whats going on with Nurse? I understand wanting to try different things but some of these decisions are real head scratchers. Less time for Roco, Morris over Reed, and now Springer??

This seems strange. What happened?
He was playing so well before he got sick smh
