>**Q :** “Victor I’ll not talk about basketball but ask you about your relationship with Jeremy, I wanted to know how close you are, do you have habits together, what do you like most about him, I know you’re both (soccer) fans for example, but what are your things together out of the court ?”
>
>**W :** “It’s.. Jeremy is, I’m sure he’s the first to have welcomed me, even before the draft and my official arrival to the Spurs. I had also met him a long time ago, and we have friends in common, so yeah he’s important to me in this team. And of course we all get along well, and we joke around, he’s a joker.”
>
>**Q :** “Do you have examples of what you do together ?”
>
>**W :** “Only the two of us, no. But as a team we get together often.”

>**Q :** “It is the 16th consecutive loss for the Spurs, the longest loosing streak in franchise history. Does that affect you, and how do you manage to keep your competitive mindset in this situation ?”
>
>**W :** “Of course it affects me. It’s… Everything is going fine in my life, but it is the only downside so far and yeah… Of course it’s complicated but there’s never… I’ve… Of course I feel the difficulty, but I never feel discouraged and let’s say that… we must be patient, there’s no other choice.”

“We must be patient, there’s no other choice.”
If this was just a quote I stumbled upon and didn’t know who said it, I would have never imagined a 19 y.o. would have said this.
I’m going to keep on saying this over and over till my lips are dry and my tongue is parched like the desert sand: We are so blessed to have such a mature and talented individual.
>It is the 16th consecutive loss for the Spurs
Ah, sweet 16. A couple more and the streak can vote, then three more we’re drinking. Anyone interested in a drinking party (nomikai)? Growler guy still active around these parts?
A question on the translation BTW – I heard Wemby say, “Il faut être patient, il n’y a pas d’autre choix,” but I might be mistaken. Is “we” the right word to use or “you” or “one”? Isn’t Il used as an impersonal pronoun here? Figured I might ask a French native instead of believing Google this time.
Thanks @ MaxDetr for the translation like usual!!
Dude is so mature, not even for his age. Just period. Lol
