Is this the guy that stands up and does the clapper thing? I don’t know any other Mavs super fans

Always enjoyed gazing court-side when I’d go to games and seeing him in his wild outfits (always had a western/Texas twist) and his bright pink clappers. Dude loved the Mavericks.
For a while, Charlie Pride would also go to most Mavericks home games. He never sat court-side but around section 108. RIP to him as well.

“Rest up.” is kinda an odd thing to say here lol.

That’s so sad. Met him once about 20 years ago, super nice guy.

Few fun facts about this so called Super Fan…
Well first and foremost Don was banned from Mavs games/arena. What kind of super fan does that? Why should we celebrate someone who has gotten banned. If it was just some regular fan at the game this community would skewer that person.
Next go over to /r/Dallas and ask about Don Knobler. I’m thinking some not so nice things will be said about him . Don owned alot of rental properties in Dallas.
Don as told to me over the years by many Mavs employees, that all of those different locations he would sit at were other peoples tickets. He was not a season ticket holder.
While publicly he had the fun persona that is mentioned in this thread, personally many folks had much different experiences.
Super Fan? Shoot the super fans that I think of are the ones that I’ve seen at every game this season, seen regularly for the last 20+ years at the AAC. Not some clown with pink knockers using other people seast.

RIP. Went to a Mavs/Pacers game in Indy years ago and he and one of the Mavs ManiAACs came over to give me a fist bump
