I don’t see how the Lakers cobble together the needed salary without gutting their depth. would need to be like 3 guys that are currently playing 20+ minutes (when healthy) a night

What does a deal for Lavine even look like at this point? He’s regressed significantly this year and on a bloated contract with a player option in 2026. Tobi would have to be moved, but he’s expiring at least. Not sure he’s worth much more than that
I wouldn’t hate Lavine + Pat Williams for Tobi + filler + picks. Not sure Lavine is the guy/answer, but 3 pt shooting and forward defense is def needed on this team. And it’s not like the max contract guys this offseason are absolutely worth holding out for over Lavine

As long as we make a move for another 3/4 who is on a team-friendly contract, I’m all for this.

– Bulls expect Lakers/Sixers to be interested in Lavine. They may or may not have interest in him.
– Derozan interested in Knicks/Heat. They may or may not have interest in him.
– Everyone interested in Caruso. Bulls have no interest in trading him.
Depending on the price would be a good trade, tobias + a 1st, lavine dont cost a lot for many reasons, if we have assets left for a good 3 and D a lavine trade wouldnt be a dumb move
