    I remember in the earlys 2000s I would've been benched the whole game for doing any of this because back then And1 was just becoming popular. and I guess coaches only wanted us to play like Larry slow Bird.

    I love Lukas play style. His ability to pass and effortlessly score is so entertaining. Just hoping Derek lively begins to shine a little more. Him and Luka are a fun duo to watch.

    I do think as of right now Luka is the MVP, but two things need to continue to happen in order for that to eventually happen. First the Mavs need to keep winning and stay a top 3-4 seed. Second Luka needs to keep dropping 32,8,9 on 48% shooting from the field. If those two things happen it’ll be a tough decision to not give Luka the MVP

    What people miss is that Lukas is putting up those stats as the most doubled (and trippled) player in the league.
    This season, in only one game havent the opoonents doubled him, and he completely destroyed them for it.

    As of right now Luka should be the MVP favorite. He’s carrying the Mavs even with Kyrie out and also has a similar record as the current favorite, Joel Embiid. Luka is also doing it without another top 10 candidate on his team and in a tougher conference.

    i just realized Luka's 77 is Birds plus Maravichs's number …imagine a player somewhere in between them…i can see it…tho hes def a more modern game with other modern influences…tho hes influenced by good basketball regardless of player

    Extra reasons why Luka is an MVP. Reasons that all of the haters try to ignore:

    -Years younger than his mvp co contenders (apart from Shai)
    -Averaging 9 rebounds as a PG is more impressive than 11 rebounds from a C altough both stats are impressive
    – Insanely harder and better shot making ability than his co contenders + he always takes end of shotclock/quarter shots with no time left (plenty of half court/logo attempts)
    -In reality he averages 15 assists per game considering how many insanely open looks he generates for his teammates, which brings me to the next reason
    -The most double teamed player in the league (has been for the past few years and continues to be) hes putting up good averages under harder conditions
    -This might be subjective, but I personally think west is overall more tough and competitive than the east conference at the moment
    – Luka averages 8 ft attempts this season so far. Embiid for example averages 12. Thats 33% more free throws Than Luka. Enough said
