Analysis of the 2023.12.18.GSW-POR Golden State Warriors vs Portland Trailblazers game.

Trayce Jackson-Davis.  Have I mentioned I have an irrational good feeling about this rookie?  He was solidly out of the rotation until, somehow, big man minutes became available during the Phoenix game. So, when Dario Saric went out with foul trouble, TJD played so well that Coach Kerr played him in crunch time, and his hustle and heady play turned a tie game into an 11 point lead.

Co-starring Steph Curry, Brandin Podziemski, Klay Thompson and Andrew Wiggins. With Shaedon Sharpe, Anfernee Simons, Jabari Walker, DeAndre Ayton.

  1. Steph averages 28pts, yet if he gets 30pts in a game with a final score of 124 people say he carried the team. I love to watch him and the warriors, but if you're not him you get almost zero credit.

  2. If Kerr is not going to take the Poppvich route and limit limits to less than 30 for all starters then Warriors need to trade some big names. Because the young guys are better.

Looney needs to be the Udonis Haslem vet and make room for young guys.

  3. Is Kerr afraid of the old guys? Doesn't seem want to give more minutes to young guys like kuminga, moody, pada, and TJD. They have proven they can hold their ground. Those 2 rookies saved the game tonight! Doesn't Kerr have the guts to sit looney, klay, wiggins, and especially dray?

  4. Not using their great young lengthy athletic types "with" your vets is like still using your hammer when you have a Neumatic nailer.

  5. I can explain it perfectly. He was allowed to play! He’s not old, he can run, jump and be physical like the players on the other teams!

  6. Wondering why Wigs didn't hit TJD for an easy lob. And he's not the only one. I'm getting the impression a lot of vets don't want the rookies to look good. Hmm…. Not to mention Kerr is so desperate for love from his aging crippled vets – particularly Loon – that TJD can never expect any love himself unless some big is in rehab. And Kerr stuck with Steph even though he was a complete liability the whole game. There is NO team spirit on this team. How can there be, when your "heart & soul" is a pathological abuser whom you've enabled? Don't get too excited by one W against PDX.

  7. TJD, Podz, Moody, and Kuminga are the next big 4 when Looney, Curry, Klay, and Dray retire. I'll be here for all of it.

  8. TJD is the real deal. I hope Kerr will WAKE UP and give him the opportunity afforded to BP. Both of these rookies can be the advantage GSW needs if given the chance!

  9. TJD is everything the Warriors hoped they could get out of Wiseman. A willing and capable screen setter. Grasps both the offense and defense. Doesn't look lost on either side of the ball.

  10. IMO Kevon Looney has been the GsW best rookie outside of Green Klay Curry. Dude is the perfect C for a team that is loaded with talent and shooting. GsW can keep proclaiming that their rookie is the best player in the draft and the next all star like Kuminga, Poole ect. But Looney has been there rarely missing a game exceeding at his role. Dude needs more praise.

  11. I think we all want to see more of the rookies and the 3 year men. And the Warriors have been looking a little tired at the end of games. Would it be too simple to suggest that at least 2 of those 4 players need to be on the floor at all times?

  12. 2:24, that would have been a guaranteed interception had Wiggs tried to pass to TJD, considering how close the Blazers #34 was to Wiggins and how big #34 is.
