Dlo is shooting a lot of tour dates. No 20+ point outings, and he isn’t playing 4th quarters.
Yes, the playmaking is helpful… but he gets killed on the offensive glass and defense… our team needs DLo to play well offensively, just have to hope his shot gets hot again.

They stopped running a ton of pick n roll w/ him as the ball handler.. He was doing great with that in Nov, Bron has to let him run more of the offense, similar to what he allows AR to do
Now do Zach LaVine in December
This isn’t really unexpected. He’s a rhythm shooter and it’s apparent he’s been trying to facilitate more, especially to AD.
He’s still our 3rd leading scorer and our best 3pt shooter this season.
Ham could leverage him better in the 2nd unit as the primary offensive threat but he’s too stuck in putting players in a small box.
Looks like most of his shots are threes. Which are either the pull-up transitioned ones or random catch-and-shoot. Ham has him on a tight leash and barely gets 4th quarter minutes.
Idk what people expect with Russell.
He’s inconsistent. He’s also going to have some blow up games and win games. He’s also going to disappear in the playoffs and because of his defense become a black hole.
He’s not a player that belongs on a contender. I’ll stand by that opinion regardless of what he does in the regular season until he shows he isn’t the worst player on the court 75% of the time in the playoffs.
D’Lo went off on the Pistons tho
It is expected, he never was consistent through his career. I don’t expect major changes from veterans, Jason Kid is the only player I remember becoming a very good 3pt shooter when he was passing his prime.
Dlo has been good for his standards and is playing under a fair contract. We need more from our starting PG though the main reason we should move him.
The way he’s been in the offense is that he dribbles up court, passes to LeBron, stands on top of the key, and that’s it. He rarely gets the ball back for a shot because I don’t think the team has anything designed for him.
Bye bye
We need dlo to play better, it’s actively hurting us that we can only get three guys into double digits.
Who woulda thought that Dlo for the past 3-4 years is what Dlo would be right now
Not sure if it’s by design or what but he’s been basically a catch and shoot player and nothing else for a month. No crafty mid range, no prolonged periods where he gets buckets to ease the scoring burden as a true 3rd option, etc. He puts up a couple 3’s early and then slowly fades out of the game. Early in the year he was putting up 18 a game on solid percentages. Now he seems like an after thought and not super engaged.
The biggest thing I peeped is his defensive competitiveness has dipped.
Early on in the season you could tell he sought out to try hard defensively and was competing getting deflections. Lately it feels like he’s reverting back to his defensive tendencies of last season.
But I mean that’s to be expected he’s never been a good defender but it feels like he’s no longer trying as hard as he was early in the season.
You can’t teach FAST. These are professionals athletes. He’s SLOW and not a CENTER
Wrote the contract to trade it. Time to implement plan B and trade him
Look at it this way – if he wasn’t drafted by LAL. Didn’t have the “DLO” nickname and the tats and the look etc would we even know who this guy is? For real. I’d take Paul Pritchard over him
He’s currently averaging 16 PPG (47% FG) (39% from 3), 6 APG – 18 Mil / Year
Zach Lavine: 21 PPG (44% FG) (33% from 3), 3 APG – 40 Mil / Year and currently injured… again
Can confidently say D Lo would average similar if not better numbers if hes also the 1st option on a team. Lol worth it?
Oh STOP IT!We should NOT trade D-Lo!
Look at the assists. That is playing well offensively.
He’s not that guy because he is not athletic enough to challenge the top defenders in the league. Simple as that.
They need to change up the playbook, he’s still a great shooter regadless of the slump.
