Wait, what trade rumors? If they trade him I might just pack it in and stop following the Jazz/NBA.

I agree with Lauri, I hope he doesn’t get traded. I think many who are in favor of trading him off would later regret it, much akin to post nut clarity

I just can’t stomach the idea of trading a young All Star who likes it here and doesn’t want to leave. That is not a combo we come across often.

I hope they keep him as well. He just fits so well with any player. Utah just has to be really smart with how they use their assets. I don’t want them to make a move for a star unless it’s a true difference maker (so no Lavine please).

I think this is all Trader Danny cooking. It’s gotta be hell on the players, it’s just a ruthless business.

The only way Danny trades an Allstar who wants to stay and play in Utah is if he gets another Gobert-like haul offer, and GMs might still be too scared of the optics for that.

i don’t actually want the jazz to trade lauri. on the other hand i want them to be in the mix for cooper flagg. ĀÆ_(惄)_/ĀÆ

Him feeling this way is why it’s so unlikely we’ll trade him imo.

He’s not ā€œuntouchableā€ because only like 5 guys are, but a package that made it worth it for us would be huge, and I can’t see other teams offering that much.

I would hope it takes a King’s ransom. Where the hell else do you find a 7 footer who can murder a team from three, defend when needed, take folks off the dribble, etc, etc?

You think Sexton goes off the other night without Lauri drawing the entire defense?

Would be the dumbest Jazz move of their existence probably. Euros have a reputation for sticking with a team that treats them fairly and respects them. They also don’t need the glitz and glamor of a huge market to keep them happy. There can’t be any truth to any of these rumors, they’re just too dumb to believe. Do we want a repeat of DWill, Hayward, and Mitchell. Getting picks for Lauri only to have a guy here until he gets the big extension(if he’s even good enough to warrant such an extension) and then wants out? Lauri is a family man too which makes DLC more appealing to him during the season. If Ainge does this he needs to be tarmac’d like USC did to Lane Kiffin.

Listen guys, being from Finland I’m a Lauri fan most and foremost. As much as I enjoy seeing him happy in Utah I’m worried that my dude won’t play in really meaningful games in his prime. His prime is now and the Jazz isn’t going to be good anytime soon. So for that reason I would welcome a trade. Sorry.

I’ve heard rumors with the Hawks, Kings, Thunder.. but please don’t trade him, George or Kessler… anyone else is ok

I feel like the Jazz are a glorified farm team for big markets, and it’s clear from every r/nba thread that the big markets feel the same.

    Cool. More picks. It’s pathetic.

  13. Nah, right now he can’t say anything else..

We are a shit tier NBA team with one outstanding player in Lauri. Ainge is obligated to hear out all offers…

This rebuild is going to take a long time. I’m not in favor of trading Lauri but if the price is right… I won’t be heartbroken.

Can we give him an extension this year? Might as well offer him a max ASAP.
