if you cant move then perhaps JB could get the last shot. but what would i know just watching tatum shoot a step back 3 at the end of every quarter for 4 years straight
Jayson Tatum is the king of not making excuses. He’s so good at it. He always goes to the podium and says he’s not gonna make excuses, before explaining that he was in fact injured, but he’s not gonna say he’s injured, because that would be an excuse and excuses are beneath him.
Not sure why Pritchard wasn’t able to get any minutes towards the end of the game.
If Tatum isn’t at 100% there is too much talent on this team to have him hock up an awful 3 at the end of the game.
We had plenty of time AND could have called a timeout, but yet again Joe thinks the team should figure it out…
Absolutely should have driven to the basket for a higher percentage shot and potentially a foul.

He really should have been a decoy after that ankle sprain, not the first option. It forced us to play slow.
A sprained ankle is not the reason he took a bad shot in the final seconds. They need to get the ball out of his hand on those final possessions.
in all honesty, watching him come back yesterday to play made me think he should’ve just sat out. At least in the first half , when he came back, he and brown were on the fast break, but I think Tatum opted for a pass instead of going for it (which usually he goes to score). I also feel a lot of his threes , he has no lift in his shot.

He definitely wasn’t right. He didn’t move beyond the 3 pt line all 2nd quarter. Got some of his movement back in the 2nd half but was uncharacteristically bad in finding guys when help defense came.

Got to say, whenever somebody says “not to make excuses…” you know an excuse to going to follow. That said….it is a good excuse! You were hurt! That’s fine, but if that’s the case don’t play. Take a game off.
Tatum’s obsession about playing every minute is both his greatest strength and greatest weakness.

This is why when Tatum rolls his ankle, he should sit down. He’s useless if he can’t drive and keep defenses on their heels

He should’ve sat. We were rolling fine without him and he ended up slowing us down. I love JT and his heart, but he’s got to know when to sit.
I’ve never seen a major superstar make excuses like Tatum.
