Yes the roster is poorly constructed but Darko is also clearly unprepared for a head coaching gig. The shortcomings of the roster aren’t responsible for his awful decision making and inability to read what’s happening.

Og is in spot up shooter hell. he just has to sit in the corners for spacing and never get the ball because dennis can’t pass beyond his first read

The front office has constructed a terribly unbalanced team lacking shooting and depth (for the fourth year in a row). This is the primary causation of our current predicament
But when Scottie is busting the Nuggets ass on every trip down the floor he puts it in Schroders hands? Come on bro, this is inexcusable.Unlike that heathen Nick Nurse, I thought Darko ran a democratic offense and was known for “development”

Can we have a bot that puts the definition of usage rate, every time we have a usage rate post?
*Usage rate can be calculated with how a possession ends: “field-goal or free-throw attempt, or a turnover.*
I love seeing Dennis and Precious pass the ball to each other for a damn whole possession 🙂

dennis wasnt kidding when he said darko was the main reason for signing
TdotSkunt
he’s Fred with less chucking and better defense
jamisonbaines
he’s only on a 2 year deal. just sucks he can’t lead our tank (unless we go bottom 6 and keep the pick)

I heard an American broadcaster on a podcast this week talking about how it’s criminal that they don’t feed Scottie Barnes more…he said “Good coaches know that they need to feed their star players on a nightly basis, you have to feed your star player every night no matter what, they have to get Scottie and Siakam more shots on a nightly basis”
Darko isn’t utilizing his star players, Scottie only had 33 minutes tonight, which in close game against the best team in the west is ridiculous…you play your stars 40 minutes if you need to in big games

Darko is not the answer

This has happened with pascal for years, but we always blamed Fred.
This is on pascal and Scottie. They are the top dogs, if they want something they will get it.

I like Schroder but you cannot have him in the starting lineup if you’re trying to win games. Malachi Flynn came into the game and brought a ton of energy and actually was a big part of the Raptors getting back into the game. He’s done that a couple times this season.

Better than Fred tho /s
MrkGrn
Been saying this since that Dallas game. Shit flipped in the wrong direction. Dennis started getting the ball way more to close games along with Siakam and it never made sense. We beat up on horrible defensive teams with zero rim protection so we fired off a few wins and people were all happy like we were really doing something.

Treating him like he’s Ja LMAOOO
Dennis 41% usage. Is this real life?! 😂

EDIT:
I’m not sure where he got the stats, but based on Statmuse, [these usage rates are way off](https://www.statmuse.com/nba/ask/who-has-the-most-usage-in-the-fourth-quarter-on-raptors)
Statmuse says for the Raps in the 4th quarter this season:
Scottie 26.3%
Dennis 22.5%
Pascal 21.9%
GTJ 19.7%
Precious 19.0%
OG 18.6%
So Dennis is new Fred is what I got from this.
Dennis came here because of Darko. Did we all forget that?
You killed the man but not the idea
