it's become common for most if not all teams to blow big heads in this era… mostly due to how the league has enacted offense friendly rules ,, and hw 3 point crazy the NBA has became… where a team can just get hot and come back from 20 down in 3 or 4 minutes .

Great vid as always jake, I gotta plays devils advocate how many double digit leads have the pelicans chased down this year? Also the losses may be close but it feels like we get out coached or played every single time it’s close. We talk about this team “growing” but it feels like we haven’t made any progress with the synergy of this team. How is it we still have barely any plays between bi and Zion? Or barely any action between trey and Zion? It doesn’t make sense…

the spacing is pretty bad already it will only get increasingly worse with allen

Coaching, Coaching is the problem.
Want rebounds? Just simply block out!! Zion is the worst. Even lil a guy with no athleticism can rebound well if he learns how to block out.
Hey, Jake. I hope all is well with you and yours. My question is, why was the players closing out on Ja at the three? Ja's shooting from 7 feet and further was horrible that game. We should have played him for the jumper. He is like Zion, but with more foul calls going his way. Unstoppable in the paint.
Jake is really good at sugarcoating the Pel's bad losses and stupidity. At the end of the day, good teams don't give up 20 point leads that easily. This team has poor decision makers in Zion, Ingram and even CJ

The scariest thing about the blow leads is just the fact that I have no confidence even when we are up by 20, as soon as another team goes on a little run we really struggle to regain momentum. Thats why these blow leads are concerning

I disagree with you. I think you're making excuses for Willie at this point. Earlier in the season, sure i understand you taking this stand, but this was game number 28. There's no reason for the lineups that he's rolling out on the floor on a nightly basis. He has no sets for Trey. Zion does the same action everytime he has the ball. BI shoots tough shots from the elbows. This team is predictable and it's on the coaching staff. This team can beat you in so many different ways, there's no excuse not to have an infinite number of sets. This team can run, shoot, score in the post, dribble drive, score in the mid range, move the ball before scoring, and play Iso ball. They're winning off of their talent and talent alone. You're letting the coaching staff off the hook. I think it's time to move on. Those blown leads are all because of bad coaching.

The team need a true point guard
The only issue I have with the coaching is that they give these guys too much free reign. This team doesn’t have a talent problem, it has an attitude problem. A trade won’t fix the attitude of this team. They seem to b undisciplined. All those blown leads comes from a lack of discipline in sticking to what got the leads in the first place, poor transition defense is again a sign of poor discipline, players in poor condition this far into the season is bad discipline. It feels like he’s treated them more as an aau team than a team of professional men

I'm not sold on Allen. He helps us win 2 of the blown leads, and then we lose at least two games where JV carried us already this year, including Charlotte. And if you think the paint is clogged with JV, replace him with someone who has no mid-range or 3pt game at all and see what it's like.
Why you always thinking of trading JV? WE ARE HAPPY WITH JV. We need better coaching
Great show Jake! Typical pattern is for the team to dominate in the first half and fall apart in the 3rd. It's worth looking into whether we tend to lose the close games, but I think we are average or maybe slightly above average in clutch situations. There's no perfect trade we can make this season but what the team can do is to simply improve in the execution (add some Trey plays) and beat the teams we're supposed to beat. Also the team needs to avoid the Lakers, Grizz, and Thunder in the playoffs…
We lose these leads because the opposing coach makes adjustments whilst willie green is completely stale and stubborn, where is the growth there? It’s been 3 years it’s time for change!
The Pelicans should have been have considered high and Dennis Rodman since we suffer so much with rebounds
