Raptors have great pieces too that could help us defensively like Dennis, Anunoby or Boucher
All the Suns need to do is get rid of both Jordan Goodwin and Drew Eubanks both of them do noting on the court. John Wall would be a better point guard with experience than a Jordan Goodwin at this point.
Joe Ingles is a player on the Magic that Suns should also look to trade for, he can play point guard in the second unit and has the height to stay on the floor
But clearly they are soft! Any time a team plays them physical or gets a run on them, they fold. They also don't close games like a true contender would. And they don't have any VOCAL LEADERS or the players with heart to overcome adversity. So how is any of that not soft?? Have they even played hard consistently in their games throughout the season yet, I can tell you from watching them every game this season that they haven't! They struggle and BECOME PASSIVE (SOFT)!!! It's no big secret to anyone really. Just man up, accept it, then you can work to change it. The biggest part of fixing a prob lem is first acknowledging that there is a problem. They lack the tenacity, aggression, physical play and killer instinct to fin ish games even against lesser teams. That's the definition of soft!!
Adding depth isn't as difficult as you guys are making it though. Waive or trade Bol, Lee and Saban Lee. THEN go sign Kai Jones for our vertical gravity rim running, shotblocking 4/5. Then sign RJ Nembhard for a backup guard option, and go sign either Cousins or howard for a strong, physical aggressive backup 5 option. Sign Stanley Johnson for a SF option. Clear end of bench spots and sign these guys for added defense, athleticism, toughness. But don't just throw away 2nds to overpay for players that we likely won't get anyways.
Suns assets are just not that enticing
How about not giving up a rotation player and our few remaining cost controlled assets (seeing as we're already financially handcuffed for a poor mans' version of Nurkic when we could just soign Noel or other better rim protection options from the unsigned pool and still keep our few remaining 2nds for something better.
Gerald- It just seems that you have an overwhelming fascination with giving away as many of our few remain ing assets as you can for low tier options. We SHOULD NOT!!! be giving up additional assets for any players you mentioned outside of Caruso, Monte Morris or KJ Martin Jr! Those are your only good- really solid trades you've suggested.
Damien Lee is a long ways from coming back
John Wall, Tyreke Evans, Stanley Johnson, Lance Stephenson all could be easily had outside of a trade on a vet min! And If you want a younger shotblocker with upside, how hard is it to look at/ consider Kai Jones, Mouhamadou Gueye, Kostas Antete koupo, etc??
