Why does everyone act like Duren isn't the best person you can possibly put around Cade
If the NBA got rid of that OUTDATED Draft Lottery, the Pistons would quickly turn this around.
It’s that simple. The worst team in decades cannot be selecting 5th, 6th, and 7th. To make matters worst, It takes “One-and-Done” players roughly 6 years to fully mature mentally and physically. I feel like this is a science project in order for the NBA to come to a sensible balance for allowing easier access for underdeveloped players. There has to be steps to offset the additional risks the teams are taking on.
It’s ridiculous, the lottery started in 1985, Isiah Thomas was selected in 1981. At that time, the Pistons were no doubt one of the worst teams and were fortunate to get him with the 2nd pick.
Imagine if the lottery was instituted in ‘81. 🤮

I've said a number of times that a rabbit hole isn't big enough for all my conspiracy theories to fit into. Weeks ago someone replied if my tin foil hat fit right. I said 'yeah and my tin foil suit as well.'
After our 25th straight loss I wonder now if people, if just a little bit, are starting to see that this abomination of turmoil seems to be coming from within; and I don't mean from inside of the players but the franchise itself.
However, this doesn't exempt blame from the players. All are culpable. Here are just a few of my tin foil conspiracy theories and my gradual loss of respect for this front office:

Overreaction. Everybody needs to relax. It’s a process.
Ya'll trippin'. This is a basketball team who's best players are in their 2nd and 3rd season (Cade, Ivey, and Duran). They have no legit floor spacing, dealing with injuries, a new coach, and a new system. How do ya'll expect them to win with so much against them? We need role players who can play defense and knock down open shots. WE DO NOT HAVE THAT. Bogey and Burks need to go. Wiseman can't protect the rim and is getting out rebounded by opposing players as well as his own teammates that are shorter then him. Worst part about it you can't get rid of these guys unless you put Ivey in the package and the Pistons SHOULD NOT do that. We give up on young players to quick. Then they go elsewhere and kick our ass every chance they get. This season is a wash you can't make any real trades without losing players we should keep. So my advice watch something else, let these expiring contracts walk in the summer, and get some floor spacers in free agency with all the cap space we will have.

damn, Ku, please realize that shooting is only one aspect of the game. Both Cade and Jaden has been atrocious in creating 11 turnovers for the night AND they couldn't guard anyone (apart from one block by Cade which showed some effort – the only time the whole night). You can't win if your "2 main young guys have a night like that" – because for every point they score (assuming 50% shooting) they give up 100% shooting on the other end… Wake up people, start watching these "studs" on the defensive end and you'll see why we keep losing. (I don't even touch Livers or Stew because they are just horrible in their current roles)

The GM needs to go. All these casuals think this team is talented, when it reality they're actually not so much (including Cade). The best ones (Cade, Ausar, Duren, Ivey) each possess 1-2 elite skills, bit at the same time have multiple gaping holes in their game. Definitely fools most people's eyes. Combine that with poor player development, coaching, culture, system, and you have a disaster of a team
