Unlike the Pistons, we can actually dominate an injured team’s bench, thankfully.
Sengun and Jabari looked really good tonight, and we know they can be at least somewhat reliable and consistent. Amen still seems to be sick but got better with more time, admittedly mainly through garbage time. Same with Cam, who looked pretty good. This team made a big jump from last year, but it’s still mainly a development year. Would love Amen and Cam to be significant bench pieces as the season goes.
Onto the Pelicans tomorrow. Hope the starters enjoyed the rest because they’ll most likely need it.
I’m excited to see what Cam can do with rotational minutes. His time will come.
Cam’s 3 was off tonight but he was able to still have an efficient offensive night by finishing at the rim. Wish Jalen could do that

CAM WHITMORE. I know he can shoot 3s so i’m not worried bout that, but his defense and finishing is so good for a 19 year old rookie. PLEASE GIVE HIM REAL MINUTES
Our starters will have fresh legs tomorrow thanks to that blow out. Rookies look very promising!
Jabari settling in is fantastic to see. Still finding his role on the floor but the growing pains seem to be getting better and better. Great piece to build around with Sengun.
Got to see the young guys tonight that was nice. Gonna rest up and prepare for the 7 trillion cam should play over jalen posts that will flood our page tonight and tomorrow.
cam unironically might be our best slasher and perimeter finisher/driver and he was a gleague player till now. hope that changes moving on

We still got lots of tweaks to figure out…but we have core pieces in Alp, Jabari, FVV, Brooks & a growing young supporting cast with Amen, Cam, & Tari so I’m feeling good.

Cam’s got a nice layup package, I think that’s the difference when his 3’s aren’t falling. He’s also a lot more active going after loose balls and 2nd chance opportunities. Good to see him get some minutes and he played as expected, but let’s pump the brakes a little and see how he does against a starting caliber NBA team.
Amen was the more impressive of the two, really had a couple nice middies and ran the offense. Great decision making and the passing is on point. We got another 60 games and plenty of time to see how minutes will be distributed as the team matures. Cream will rise to the top and time is on our side, this squad is loaded.

They are still just start of the second phase of the rebuild. And winning more isn’t the only thing they are supposed to do. I hope there are more times they play without FVV having to be on the floor with sengun green and jabari without them having to completely blowout the other team first.
Watching Cam and Amen get NBA minutes, we got a bright future with those 2 rookies as well as the wonderful talent of everyone else! Tonight was an excellent night 😎😎😎

I feel kinda shitty for saying it, but I’m not sold Jalen is truly our guy to build around. Jabari and Sengun are an absolutely lethal front court if they turn out to be as great as they’ve been looking
This should be a wakeup call for Jalen. He needs to realize Cam will be a serious threat to his spot. Hopefully this pushes him to be better. Either way this competition works out for us as rockets fans. Iron sharpens irons and we’ll hopefully get a better player
