Do you think DJM is worth more than 30 mil per year based on his level of play in Atlanta? Why should we gift him more money if not? Is 30 mil not a huge payday?
He does deserve some criticism for his lack of efficacy when Trae is off the floor and total lack of defense, but nobody is saying he’s a bad player just that he’s a bad fit next to Trae and it was a short sighted panic trade.
Bigger criticism is of ownership and the FO more so than Murray.

I love DeJounte’s humility for signing that really affordable contract. But when I look back on his media day interviews between “our goal is to be a top-4 seed” and “play in tournament is unacceptable”, I do not see that same level of emotion on the court.

Everyone is talking about how this is confirmation he’s gone. Maybe, and maybe in the end he’ll be shipped. I also think you do something like this for multiple reasons, one being to eliminate distractions and get your head back in the game.
