I’m down dude had earned it our pace and defense both improve when he plays…so DJJ or grant to the bench??

At this juncture, he’s earned it.

If Maxi comes back healthy I look forward to Luka Kyrie Exum Maxi Lively line ups against certain match ups

Kyrie, Luka, Exum, Lively and whoever we think is best fit for last spot. Those 4 give us shooting, decent size, and multiple playmakers. Depending on who the 5th guy is, it also gives us a potent bench

I guess DJJ off the bench since Exum can also defend point of attack players. Grant will guard PFs.

I think Grant starts in order to defend some of these bigger wings out there. He’s the better matchup agains Bron, Kawhi, KD, etc.

DJJ and Exum are too light in the pants for that task.

Good decision. More ballhandlers on the floor the better it is for the Mavs.

This isn’t going to work defensively unless Kidd genuinely believes that DJJ and Luka can switch between themselves and reliably defend 3/4, which is a dogshit idea considering DJJ is undersized and Luka will be in hell guarding all the star forwards. And if Exum (who is also undersized, mind you) takes Luka’s assignment instead where is he supposed to hide at? We already know he can’t defend guards for shit; we saw it in full display in the Suns series.

Three guard lineup worked with the ‘21 group. Kyrie and Exum better than Dinwiddie-Brunson too.
