Man this hurts. Pascal has been nothing but a consummate professional, is a Top 5 Raptor ever easily, and is an all star player that wants to be here. For a franchise like this, there’s only been a couple other guys that fit that bill.
The front office has given him shit to work with basically since drafting Scottie, but he still wants to be here.
We all know the right thing to do is to trade him and move on, but fuck, if/when that happens it’s gonna be sad.
This one’s gonna hurt if/when he’s traded. Tell me if I’m wrong but I always interpreted his lack of help as the FO being hesitant on him. In ‘20 he had the people, in ‘21 they thought they could more or less run it back, in ‘22 and ‘23 the focus was towards Scottie(Who obviously is also very important). I just never got the sense that they really valued Pascal and between how good Fred was doing in ‘22 and the development of Scottie he always to me felt like someone they never planned on having even past Tampa.
