I knew this was on the table after the summer. I had a feeling that the hawks and Raptors agreed on a Dejounte + Griffin for Siakam deal, but wanted Dejounte on an extended deal. Hey man, a lineup of: Murray-Gary-Scottie-OG-Poeltl should be pretty damn solid.

They aren’t trading for Siakam for the fact he’s expiring they’re trading for him to re sign. If he comes out again and says he won’t sign anywhere else we will be fucked.

Murray is too ball dominant and we need Scottie to continue dominating the ball to allow him to develop into his full potential

The thing with DJM is that he’s locked into a long contract. The $ amount is high, but not an albatross like Bradley Beal. However, you have to think twice before you add a player with that length when he’s seen as overrated.
I’m not a huge fan of this player, but he would fill a need. You also have to consider the long term fit, though. If you add him but subtract OG, you’re going to have to find shots to accommodate DJM. If you add him and subtract Siakam, then it’s easier to do a 1:1 on offense.
