Can’t wait to hear what Willie and the team learned after this game.

  2. Woockawoo

It hurts. I love you guys but I need a break. Y’all be safe on new years and I’ll see you in 2024 <3

  3. uninspiredlt

I would be ok with the team being 100% different next year

  4. BaronsDad

We deserved to lose. Late game offense is non-existent.

  5. green_tea1701

I’ll always be a NOLA fan come hell or high water. But I won’t always be happy about it.

  6. Ciccone7

Elite choke coupled with elite ref fuckery = average Pels Wednesday night.

Edit: i dont know what day it is

  7. I know the zebras cooked at the end of the 4th against us, but that is not an excuse for how absolutely dogshit our offense is, especially in the clutch.

  8. Sslagathor

We’re so bad in the clutch i’d be worried if we were in a close game vs the Pistons.

We know how this season will go. Get a play-in spot and lose, draft a rookie we will never play and make no significant trades. Honestly this CJ/BI/Zion ‘era’ has reached its peak and theyre just heading full speed towards a dead end like the Bulls.

  9. JosephStall

Unfortunately it’s time… Willie’s gotta go. He’s a bridge coach and he brought the team from nothingness to a competitive team but he’ll never get them over the hump

  10. Impressive-Theory-27

What the fuck happened?! I missed the game and we lost? How did z have 6 turnovers, Herb only have 4 points and Cj basically missed everything from 3?

Was this another willie Green disaster class?

  11. I fully expect the Pels to lose about 90% of the time to physical teams(when they’re healthy). Grizzlies(if they had Adams it’d be must worse in my mind), Lakers, Rockets(getting there), (healthy)Warriors, Jazz(almost solely because of Kessler) and Bucks/Heat in the past as well. This is a low BBIQ team with players and coaches that will fully fold under pressure when pushed.

  12. ipoop0123

Ref fucked us but we fucked ourself even harder. Defensive breakdowns into no late game offense… so hard to watch. Well deserved win by them for not giving up

  13. SpaceAfricanJesus

Most entertaining and only redeeming quality of this game was when AD asked Joel: “what’d you get for Christmas? A train set?”

Terrible game to watch all around, not even like the Grizzlies played phenomenal. This team constantly invents ways to lose and/or make it closer than it ever needs to be. Serious changes need to happen but they won’t cause the Pelicans and the Saints are unserious franchises owned and managed by unserious people.

  14. poorwhitecash

I would honestly let you guys coach in crunch time over Willie

  15. habbofan10

There’s no better advantage in sports then when a team has positive enigmatic energy and there’s no worse deterrent to success for a team when that energy is negative . Thats currently this squad and has been for pretty much the whole season . The misses FT, the air balls from 40 percent 3 point shooters in the clutch , the timely turn overs is a display that something is seriously wrong with the club . Look at the bulls run currently once they got rid of lavine ( through injury ) the whole energy changed . Similar change needs to happen here , not sure who or what but it atleast needs to be one of Willie , Ingram or zion

  16. ShamarDraco

Willie green be on the sideline with that stone face not doing shit

  17. DirkaDirkaTeamUSA

Classic Pels basketball for this season

  18. BobMarleynthewhalers

    Naji 2 pts 1 for 5
    Jose 8 pts 3 of 8

    Hawkins 0 minutes.

We lose the same way every time.

Make a change, either its the coach, the players, Griffin has to do something. There is no way you look at this state of the team and say “yeah theyll figure it out” “We’ll give them a couple more years” There is just no way.

  19. Razor-Ramon-Sessions

Willie would need to completely turn this around for him to stay on as head coach.

  20. Ancient_Access_795

I can’t even get mad anymore. It’s really just laughable at this point.

Terrible head coach, terrible 3pt shooting team, horrendous FT shooting, Iso ball is clamped during the clutch, 6’7 Dyson Daniels guarding damn near 7 foot JJJ in the clutch. Yes the refs fucked us at the end of regulation but it doesn’t change the fact with how bad been we’ve been. Even if we won today’s game it would feel less like a win and more like us barely escaping defeat.

  21. BasketTimely

This shit ain’t even funny any more.

This team late in 4th quarters look completely lost. There’s no sets being run, it’s just give it to one of the guys and make them create a difficult shot.

This team has too many good players to be this disappointing.

  22. ChickenWarm

I’m glad I finally won’t be called a pessimist for being critical of this team and Willie.

  23. TimothyN

We have to move on from him. He just doesn’t have it. JB is right there, just move on now.

  24. twojace21

I have never seen such stagnant clutch time offense before. To avoid overreacting, I’m not on the fire Willie train… yet. But if there isn’t improvement by the all star break I want him gone.

He’s riding the coattails of making it into the playoffs the year Zion missed. And I think our team looked great that season. That’s why I’m not on the fire Willie train yet. But he’s continued to regress since then and it’s getting so frustrating to watch him squander this teams potential.

  25. Dyson subbing in for Zion to guard JJJ at the end of game???

  26. goku7144

Zions late game being gassed is so fucking bad it’s destroying this team. I watched OT and he would get the ball, pass it, then go sit in the corner and maybe pace the baseline. Meanwhile they know Zion isn’t doing shit so they double BI and whoever has the ball and force them to make a play. I’ll also say Willie isnt helping but if Zion is going to take himself out of the game and let the other team double the ball handler you just have to pull him. It’s embarrassing and disgusting

  27. El-bufalo20

Embarrassing yet again. Every single player and coach should be ashamed of what they’ve produced this season. There should be no one defending them either. With the “talent” we have and the schedule so far, 17-14 is just not acceptable

  28. DankSinatraSr

Ha I won’t even waste my time. Willie gotta go.

Also I fucking hate being a New Orleans anything fan right now. With that being said, see y’all Thursday.

  29. dominicklala1287

Willie definitely does some dumb shit (like Dyson Daniels on JJJ), but when are we gonna blame the players for missing TWELVE free throws? College teams shoot better from the line than these guys. And no one seems to have the clutch gene. Grizzlies just give it to Ja, and let him kill us. We just don’t have anyone like that on this roster

  30. stoolieny

I know benching Hawkins isn’t the reason the Pels have gone ice cold but I’m also not saying that it isn’t part of it…

Was such a fun team to watch earlier in the year with a top rookie ballin. Now he is benched, vets who can’t shoot are constantly in in crunch time and then they lose because the don’t have shooters giving spacing.

    These lineups and rotations man..

  31. amadea_saoirse

I’m convinced Willie Green will eventually beat Monty’s 27-game losing streak sometime in the future.

  32. I’ve seen absolutely no reason to keep CJ after this season. His offense is one dimensional. He offers no defense. He’s a liability at the arch and the stripe. He needs to be coming off of the bench.

  33. I still can’t believe Willie subbed out Zion for Dyson to D up JJJ. JJJ was cooking Dyson all game and Zion was making it tough on him

  34. LuthorNZ

Cue Willie Green platitudes and deflection. No accountability. This team is terrifying on paper but cat-vomit on the court. The fact they can’t play together and don’t have a cohesive offensive scheme is squarely Willie Greens fault.

    Fire him.

  35. MrFishAndLoaves

Also imagine a country with stricter gun laws

    Just sayin

  36. throwaway26006

This shit is so fixed you never call a phantom foul with .4 seconds unless you have money on the game.

  37. leftofthedial15

What the fuck did the people of New Orleans do to be cursed with Dennis Allen *and* Willie Green?

  38. LuthorNZ

0-6 in games decided by 3 or less points. That’s not just unlucky. That’s coaching malpractice. Willie Green has gotta go

  39. basketballisgud

I’m not a Pels fan, but just wanted to say I watched that game and thought you guys got fucked at the end of regulation. Yeah, your offense had gone stagnant, but you still should have come out with W and you would have if not for two atrocious calls at the end of regulation. Anybody saying that was a foul on JV is confused. Would have been had JJJ been shooting, but they both have a right to go for a pass. Anyway, my 0.02 cents as a Mavs fan. Sorry for a bullshitty loss.
