  1. * That was the best start to end game the Blazers have played this whole season.

    * The Ant, Scoot, Matisse, Walker, and Reath lineup was absolute murder tonight.

    * Scoot and Walker are going to terroize defenses for years to come with their physicality and hustle.

    * The Great Barrior Reath was a natural wonder of the world tonight and he deserves all the success with what he has gone through to get to this point.

Being a contender wasn’t in the cards this year, but that doesn’t mean it’s not fun to watch these guys play for something. Watching Reath play into (hopefully) a nice contract after bouncing around the world for years would be a W for me this season.

Here are my thoughts on this game:

    Positives

    * DUOP REATH. Can’t say enough about how well he played – hitting threes, attacking closeouts, and hustling. But not only is it about him individually, the spacing he provides by allowing us to play 5-out opens up so many things for us offensively. I’m so happy for him for getting his chance in the NBA and showing out.
    * Jabari Walker played great as well. He seems to always win 50/50 balls and be the first to every loose ball – kinda reminiscent of Josh Hart. Great game from him, and I’m also excited about how versatile he looks defensively.
    * Thybulle did his usual thing creating chaos defensively. In a game like this where we had minimal paint protection, we needed every bit of it.
    * Thought this was Scoot’s best game of the season. He looked under control the entire game, read the floor well, attacked and finished, and made some great passes.
    * I thought Ant played a pretty normal game, which is great because he efficiently dropped 30. He was efficient scoring the ball, and generally got rid of the ball when he was doubled. I love how determined he’s been going to the rim this season even if he sometimes doesn’t get calls, and I think it’s made him a much more consistent player who can still score even if his shot isn’t falling.
    * I have to give Grant a lot of credit for what he did defensively, closing out the game guarding Sabonis (and boxing him for rebounds). Good for him.

    Negatives

    * Moses Brown can rebound, but my god is he awful at literally everything else.

    * I get that we have too many guards, but Scoot deserved more minutes. Oh well.

    * i thought Ant’s shot selection was a little questionable at times, but it didn’t really seem to hurt us that much overall.

Chauncey it’s time to put Scoot back in the starting lineup you coward.

Gonna be crickets from the Scoot haters tonight!

Most fun game of the season by far.

  5. ScootSharpe0017

    SCOOT DOUBLE DOUBLE

We are eating so good at the moment.

He keeps getting better every game and is showing heaps.

  6. ShaedonSharpe4Life

Scoot has shown so much progression. So excited for the rest of this season

  7. Amazing bench performance. Never would have expected such a strong performance against a healthy Kings line-up.

  8. Own-Fish-7634

Would’ve loved to see scoot and walker close over grant and brogdon but good w either way

  9. TheTestPest

Just imagine every Sacramento Kings fan going “who the FUCK is DUOP REATH?!”

  10. Bieberkinz

    Reath truthers rise up.

Scoot/Ant/Tisse/Bari/Reath is the blueprint to what a successful team looks like. My god I have not seen a Blazers lineup so dominant against a quality team like the Kings in a hot minute

  11. AdApprehensive7882

Props to Chauncey for sticking with the lineup that was getting us buckets for longer stretches of time 🔥

  12. Haze_Shadez

So much fun watching Scoot Duop and Jabari tonight. Tisse is such a menace. I didn’t know I could have this much fun at 8-21

  13. Voidrunner503

Good win and I thank my lucky stars every day that we at least aren’t the Pistons.

  14. TheHardButton

Bench unit, take a fucking bow. The team is inconsistent for sure, but seeing flashes like this keep the hope alive during a tank as it shows that growth is happening, especially with guys like Scoot.

  15. Sensitive-Sorbet917

We need a GIF of tisse hands up after that steal Dunk to JG. Pure childlike joy and I’d like to look at it daily

  16. Bobsmauncle

We can all agree that win was brought to us by Holy Moses

  17. alandwarinasia_

clear best game of the season by far. start reath

  18. GaviFromThePod

Not to say I told you so to everybody who was freaking out about Scoot being a bust 3 weeks ago, but… A toad a so.

  19. NoKidCouple76

I didn’t watch. What happened to Toumani’s minutes?

  20. crab90000

Maybe I’m just blind or turn the game off too much, but seemed like there was a lot of catching up and talking between the teams after the game (in a good way)

  21. crab90000

Was at Zoo Lights tonight and kept annoying my family cause they couldn’t get my attention

Thanks for the entertaining game Michael and u/travisdemers

  22. InstructionAfraid433

Even more impressive: we kept them under 120

  23. EvidenceUnusual3324

They’ve got to convert Reath. I hate that he fights so much harder than Ayton but oh well, what a great find.

  24. mcoollin

There’s something to be said about signing an old rookie. You get them on a cheap contract, they usually have experience in Europe and are ready to ball out of the gate. Duop Reath was a great signing

  25. holman8a

Matisse and Duop, olympics are looking bright 🇦🇺

  26. game_blouses_

The Blazers might not have a beam of their own, but I lit my own beam for this win.

  27. rexter2k5

    My life for Jabari.

    My world for Duop.

    Badji sighting.

    My bingo is complete!

  28. ninetwentyfour_

Undefeated in the “make ‘em lose their shoes” era!

  29. noiseeeeeeeeee

we blew out the kings without 2 of our starters. That’s some good shit

  30. brucemainstream

Duop is such a fun player to root for

  31. zooksoup

I guess tickets to the game for my father in law who is a Kings fan weren’t the best idea…but my wife and I are happy

  32. Proper_Hurry_362

Grant got his minutes chopped for players that are actually interested in playing other aspects of basketball that isn’t scoring.

Can’t wait to ship off Grant, brog. Would love to dump Ayton but he’s a negative asset with his contract and meh play. Need to snag us a lively in next year’s draft.
