Cade Cunningham: ‘NOTHING positive’ about Pistons’ NBA-record losing streak | NBA on ESPN

Let’s Do It um don’t jump off the boat we got to stay together uh right now is the easiest time to to stand off and be on your own um but we need to continue to lean on each other and continue to push each other and hold each other accountable more than ever

Now I don’t think that what I said was positivity I think it’s just being real um and I mean I understand your question a lot of my positivity comes from just the joy of the game I love what I do uh I’m blessed to be healthy and play so

That’s where it comes from but um there’s nothing positive about this situation right now that we put ourselves in so that’s what we got to dig deep and get ourselves out of it yeah you can’t get away from it it weighs on us every day I mean everywhere way on

Us you guys see come out really FY just kind of tonight how do you guys ensure that main that throughout because tonight there seem to be a law once J came out of the game for the first time and Marcus came in you guys Ure that you maintain that that fiery start

Throughout the game yeah um you’re right I mean that’s we we set a a high standard a good bar for this game um early on and then you’re right we just didn’t maintain it I think uh staying locked in with the game plan um even with subs and and new lineups being out

There that’s important um the bench staying into it is important um just everybody being on the same page is I mean is key and we got to stay desperate yeah just last two weeks this was your or really the last week this was your second 40 point game it seems

Like you gotten better has a year going Z how much of that is just you getting more comfortable coming off with the surgery and how much is mayy lineups you know being back yeah I am uh I I feel good um my legs feel good I’m definitely starting to feel more and

More like how I want to um bogy definitely helps a lot being able to you know out there to him and he can go get his own knock down shooter uh you know he just he creates a lot of space for everybody but um yeah I think it’s a mixture of both of [Applause] those

Cade Cunningham speaks on the Detroit Pistons’ 118-112 loss to the Brooklyn Nets and their NBA single-season record 27-game losing streak.

  1. Morbid curiosity fan here .. Cade looked really good in the game , was impressed. Team just seemed super inexperienced .. no one could make a shot except Cade down the stretch

  2. Cade is a true professional
    -he knows he’s been injured
-he knows his team is horrible
-he probably wants to get out of Detroit
Yet he is so kind when addressing the team problems.
I really hope he finds a new home soon. Bro played for Montverde, and I’m sure he’d like to come back to Florida for the Magic or Heat

  3. I am not a Pistons fan but are fans not questioning Monty Williams? I haven't heard his name all year, just seems like everyone (or at least the media) is chalking up to a lack of talent when honestly their roster isn't 2-28 bad

  4. They gotta make a new rule where If you on a 20+ game losing streak the opposing teams best 3 players cant play that day lmfao

  5. Sorry Cade, you played quite well the entire game but you slipped up on one possession which led to the loss. Down 112-110 with 40 seconds left, you left Dorian Finney Smith wide open. If you were in position instead of camping in the paint, you would’ve had a shot to change everything.

  6. Coach gotta get fired. Pistons have to bite the bullet and just pay that coach salary and find someone else.

Cuz no way any professional team should lose 27…hell no professional team should lose more than like 10-12 in a row. 27 is just insane that coach BEEN lost that locker room.

  7. For all the ppl saying Cade is trash and that he can’t carry his team to wins… y’all said the same thing ab booker. Sometimes guys just need help man. Not everyone is lebron

  8. Honestly the only good I see in this is cades development it forces him to be the guy bc they have no else and him being the man is important for the team long term and he seems rly mature he’s the only positive in detroit rn everyone else should go and I mean EVERYONE ELSE

  9. The team is a disaster. No Piston should be smiling and dapping up their opponent like some of them were after tonight’s loss.

  10. Pistons need to trade for veteran wings who can shoot 3s consistently and a defensive back up Big who can rebound and play serious defense at the Rim. Their current roster is trash and Cade needs the right players to turn this around. They need to get rid of at least half of their current roster to win in todays NBA

  11. I blame the organization and Monty Williams acting like he overrated Troy weaver too . He’s made no moves or stood on no business

  12. Cade has been playing well. I still think on a good team he would be a second option but the dude is atleast playing his off. Never been a pistons fbut i hope they win against the Celtics on thrus.

  13. What sucks is until this record is not broken, this will forever be linked to his legacy. In the future when an argument comes up about who's better between him and player x, this will always be brought up.

  14. the team that they can beat in thier upcoming games are the raptors and utah if not they will be going on a 35 losing streaks until they face up against the spurs and i think the losing streak stops on that game.
