Thoughts on this trade?

Bulls get Ivey and some filler, and the Pistons get LaVine to pair next to Cade, while still keeping Bogdanovic and all of their draft picks.

After everything Lavine did for Chicago, he should not be traded to the pistons, that’d be doing him so dirty

Awful trade for the Bulls. No way they do that. If that is what they would be getting back for Lavine they just hold him.

Ivey can’t even start on one of the worst all time teams.

I don’t see a Lavine trade happening without draft assets. Not to mention it’s just poor asset management to trade them at their lowest value.

I’d take it in a heartbeat, Ivey is a fantastic young player. Would feel bad sending lavine to Detroit. Doubt that’s his first choice.

So lavine for Ivey and no picks? I’m glad we aren’t the GM. Unless Lavine committed a crime then no GM would trade him without some draft capital. Doesn’t matter if his value is low. Hell spurs got a first round pick in the kawhi trade when he only played 9 games, all their drama, no one thinking he would be the same player and the spurs also getting Demar.

I think if the Bills could get this they should do it for sure. I dont think Detroit would though. I think Ivey can develop into an All star level player.

These 3 players would immediately be the worst 3 players on the bulls. Everyone in this sub is drastically underrating the market for Zach Lavine. He’s a 2 time all star and Olympian.

I really wanted that trade to happen a couple of weeks ago, but now that Coby is blowing up, I’m really not sure about the fit with Ivey. If everybody except Cade and Duren are up for grabs like Shams is saying, I’d rather see the Bulls get Ausar out of the deal who could play 2 next to Coby and has give or take the same salary than Ivey.

I also agree with the consensus that this trade needs some draft capital from the Pistons as Harris and Wiseman are pretty much useless. But at this rate, I’m not sure when the Pistons next pick is available.

I think Harris + Wiseman + Ausar + 2 top 5 protected firsts would be a fair deal for both sides.

Its a good deal if the Bulls get to the point where the only thing they can get in a LaVine trade is long-term salary relief. However, it would be terrible if that’s all the Bulls could hope for.

I see where you’re coming from putting a trade with DET out there as an idea given they seemingly have to do *something*. I think I’d rather have Bogdanovic than Harris as the big salary. If we’re looking to remain immediately competitive, he’s the best available player on their roster, frankly. Then, for the young talent, I’d try to get Ausar Thompson over Ivey, but I’d still be happy settling for Ivey. That said, if we’re not getting *both* Thompson *and* Ivey, then I need a 1st, as well (or we could do LaVine for Bogdanovic, Thompson, Ivey, and no draft picks).
