    Best thing about him is age. 4 years under rookie contract. 5 year extension afterwards. He will be 31 after that. So heat gets the best value out of him.

    As a sophomore at UCLA Jaime became the glue for a UCLA team that went to the final four. They were possibly the best team in the nation last year, but key injuries to two starters had them losing to Gonzaga on a last second shot. Jaquez was the go to player for UCLA and is a hybrid who can defend 1 to 4, play the point, and does all the little things, playing smart basketball that wins ballgames. He was Pac 12 player of the year for a reason. Scouts missed his upside in terms of ball handling, defending, savvy, and just a great team player.

    I like his game and his mentality. He doesn’t get nervous plays at his own speed, doesn’t let the defense speed him up and cause him problems. My most favorite thing though is he always seems to make the correct play. Has a nose for the ball. The heat got them a jewel in the rough. I’m looking forward to see how much better he will be in 3-4 years!
