Well well well what Sacramento Kings team will be showing up on Friday night in Atlanta well well well Kings and Hawks Morgan I have to throw some numbers at you I you always do and I’m ready Morgan the Kings alltime record oh I know this one in Atlanta mhm 7 and 28

Yes since the Kings moved to Sacramento in 1985 they have won exactly seven times in Atlanta so you know how Miami has like the Miami flu is it the Magic City flu what is it about Atlanta and or what if it’s not the city it’s just the arena

So difficult to play in I don’t know what it is I don’t know you Atlanta is a Party City but I don’t know if this king’s team is parting they better not be because they got to get back on track after what went down against the Blazers

The other night they allowed 130 points and of course the Blazers play the Spurs tonight and the Spurs win yeah yeah that’s not no not okay not okay and embarrassing so this Hawks team is very interesting because you look at some of the talent on the team you’re like they

Should be pretty good right but they’re 12- 18 they started 9- n they’ve lost three in a row they’re not very good at home but they have a top five offense they’re top five in scoring they’re top five in Pace you know Trey young who’s putting up monster numbers can get it

Going you know dejonte Murray can do his thing our old friend bogie has having a really good year averaging 18 points a game off the bench I don’t care about the record this this game’s dangerous especially if the Kings don’t fix their defense in this game well it’s dangerous because of the way

That we’ve seen the Kings play so inconsistently right against some of uh the better teams they’ll be playing up some of against some of the not so good teams they play down and then lately we’re just seeing some of these losses where it’s like they are just ugly and

They’re ugly mostly because of the defense and this Hawks team really likes to run which could be a recipe for disaster especially because this king’s defense their transition defense has not been that great lately no it hasn’t been lately which is weird because at times it could be really good and we’ve seen

The stretches for Sacramento this year yeah I I don’t know what team is going to show up but you just mentioned the losses this year I went back and looked the average margin in these losses is almost 16 points a game that’s near the bottom of the NBA when they lose they

Lose yeah so 17 and 12 on the year in their 17 wins they’re averaging 125 points per game which is fifth in the league the three-point shooting is awesome it’s at 40% in wins but in losses it’s not only the defense that’s bad the offense is bad they’re averaging

Under 106 points per game in losses that’s 27th in the league and 31% from three which is 27th in the league it’s weird this team is so hard to figure out but I do think watching the Hawks the last couple of Games catching up on their games against Memphis and Chicago

You see the flaws and their major flaw similar to the Kings is defensively they are not a good defensive team go at them you can go at Trey young I mean they even playing Garrison Matthews a little bit I felt like he was getting torched

When I watched It’s a team that allows a lot of points in the paint they have a trouble guarding the ball it could be a good opportunity for this king’s offense to get going but you also don’t want to fall into a trap of not defended right

But I mean you even talk about a good opportunity for this king’s offense how many teams have they played lately where it seems like it’s been a good opportunity oh Portland allows the most points in the paint okay well sabonis was going off and getting his and then

It just ended up being atrocious on the other end of the floor so it’s like you need to make sure not only are you executing your offense you are being Elite on the offensive end Clint capella coming over trying to protect the rim what are you going to do to make sure

That you I’m glad you brought that up scoring in on him he plays drop coverage a lot yeah it seems like Sacramento hasn’t been as they’re they’re not taking as many mid-range shots as they as they used confident in the mid-range Daren get that mid-range shot like they’re they’re

Going to give that up to you you’re good at taking it and I know he’s taking a lot of Threes And he’s knocking down a lot of Threes but I just want to see a little more balance I want to see some paint touches because you can get in the

Paint on this team and yes with a Kong wo and capella at times it could be finished tough to finish at The Rim but get the defense to collapse and rotate and move around so you can get some good shots keep attacking this Hawks team Attack Trey young Attack Trey young if

You have Trey Young on you you should be attacking it doesn’t matter who it is I don’t care if it’s Kevin herder that’s starting somehow Trey young is getting put on him like you need to make sure that you are attacking that body that person getting in the paint because it

Is going to create it’s going to allow this entire defense to collapse um and there’s just simp things that they need to do on the offensive end you talk about the mid-range game and everything but going back to what we need to see defensively from this team as well is

Not only getting back in transition but it’s just making sure that you’re not allowing them to fly in there for those Second Chance opportunities Jaylen Johnson is that guy I mean jayen Johnson’s back he is so active I mean this guy looks like an absolute steal

That the Hawks got in the first round a couple of years back and he’s long he can handle he’s confident with it he could pass it oh yeah and then his ability to crash on the offensive glass with his length and he can be a problem and you better

Know where he is and then on the other you’re mentioned defensively too is you know that Trey young loves a little pick and roll action with the bigs and he’ll get that lob to Capella the communication has to be there to me it’s not even about talking about the Hawks

That much it’s about the Kings coming in with the right mindset because I’ve seen the Kings win games against really talented teams and be more locked in defensively they have to come in a little bit angry tomorrow they got embarrassed against the Blazers I’m still not over what happened against

Portland because of how they played in that game which was not physical enough consistently the awareness wasn’t there the communication wasn’t there and then the offense couldn’t muster anything outside of sabonis and fox combining for 77 so I want to see them come out with a

Relentless approach get a win in a place that’s traditionally been tough for them to win and by the way beat a team that last year they did not beat they lost in Atlanta and Atlanta came to Sacramento and won and and you know I think some

People they look at Atlanta they look at the record and um they just see what type of team they have been as of late and they go okay this is a beatable game I get but you can’t have that mindset like every single night in the NBA is
