[Hine] Anthony Edwards felt like he left some scoring on the floor against OKC. So tonight? Edwards: “I put it in my mind before the game, like, I’m probably going to shoot it every time I touch it. So, I came in with the mindset that whatever I was going to do, I was going to do.”

But that also comes at the expense of getting his teammates going and the team’s offensive rhythm. Then when he subs out, there’s no rhythm. He was taking unnecessarily tough shots and driving into traffic when there were teammates wide open.

Somehow he’ll have to figure out how to balance finding his shot and also getting his teammates going. He’s so young, I’m confident he will. Glad we have Finch and Conley to hold him accountable!

I couldn’t watch the game tonight. But I’m usually the “if Ant thinks he can make it, it’s a good enough shot for me” gang

that’s great but let’s also be more efficient with our dribble and smarter with our passes out of doubles.

The reason we won tonight was because Ant dominated the ball. He can win games like this against inferior opponents and he should be empowered to do so. It takes a burden off of the rest of the team and he’s young and can take it.

We should never depend on him to win games like this against the Bostons, Denvers, and Phillys of the world. But against the Mavs without Luka and Kyrie, I’m all for it because it’s effective and it’s good for his development as this generation’s version of MJ/Kobe/Wade.

I would love to see him drop 70 on 40 shots on the Pistons when we play them.

Ant is 22 years old. His decision making and shot selection is only going to improve as he gains more experience in the league and becomes more comfortable with knowing when to pick his spots. In the meantime, I’m certainly not going to kill the guys who just dropped 44 points and helped his team secure the W. This mindset is something the franchise has been lacking since KG and it’s going to come with its decorators at times because it’s just the way it goes. But I’d much rather have this type of player than not.

Yeah, he’s definitely part of the problem on offense. We need much better ball movement.
