    On Track for 56-26

    Would have been nice to win a back to back, definitely had a shot to win it same old struggles with turnovers and defense

    Go Spurs Go

  2. Prize_Possession3899

    **Pros**

    * McDermott on fire from 3 in 3rd quarter
    * Jones reliable production off the bench
    * Keldon solid game offensively
    * Vassell finally showing up in the 4th

    **Cons**

    * Injuries to Collins and Jones, though Jones was able to return
    * Sochan off night
    * Leaving guys like Brogdon with wide open 3s, with the Trail Blazers shooting almost 60% from 3
    * Champagnie another quiet night
    * Costly TOs late in the game when trying to mount a comeback

    **Overall**

    I suppose we all had a feeling that tonight could’ve been a struggle without Wemby, but I wasn’t expecting this team to be down 26 at one point in a winnable game. I don’t know how long Collins will be out, but this injury combined with the loss of Bassey seems like it’s really going to hurt the team going forward

    **Looking Forward**

    Stern test at home against a well oiled Celtics team to close out 2023

    Spurs with Wemby – bad as a whole on defense even with a generational rim protector

    Spurs with Collins – straight up layup lines on defense

    Spurs without either – will a team actually score 200 on us?

  4. Busy_Professional824

    At least we know mcderment could be our go to 3 guy when wemby is doubled team. He’s a decent set shooter.

  5. thegrayscales

    OK, we took the L, but honestly the past few games feels like we’re trending up significantly all round on fundamentals and cohesiveness. Pop seems to be turning a corner too. Boston will be TOUGH but a good test for us. Hoping for a healthy Spurs team for Sunday. Let’s go!!

  6. notcool_dood

    I wish Pop gives more minutes to Mamu, big man with high bbiq with great passing and vision. Him playing and helping in facilitating the offense in his limited minutes is a fresh breath of air earlier.

  7. oftentroller

    It’s really hard to watch Malaki Branham playing on the floor, bad offense, worst defense.

  8. rattatatouille

    Wemby’s defense, rebounding and gravity were sorely missed.

    Still made it a game though, which is more than I can ask for.

  9. Awkward_Toe_5501

    When Sochan walked away from Brogdon as Brogdon wets a three on his back JUST after he wet one in his face, sums up 90% of his year.

  10. oceanfloors1

    I missed most of the second half. Fuck, how bad is the Collins injury? Did he walk it off?

    I asked for more Mamu and Dom minutes but not like that.

    Malaki Branham. You are an Austin Spur

  12. abeerzabeer

    A great effort but we have a star for a reason.
    Wembanyama has a killer instinct along with a selfish IQ perspective.

    This is a developing team and we have had flashes of success.

    Last win was a reflection of the blinding light of what spurs basketball should look like.

    We have it available. Time to spend 5 years capitalizing.

    2 rings minimum and I’ll watch every game until we’re onto the next generation and beyond.

    GO SPURS GO.

  13. HisHilariousness

    I’m all for drafting good character guys, but they got to be killers too.

    I still don’t like that Spurs didn’t gamble on Jovic instead of the two we took. He couldn’t be worse than these 2, and more of an upside too.

    But Sidy got back and Mamu, along with Cedi can fix many of the team’s problems.
