  1. Man I’m excited. I know not everyone is pumped about Barrett but I’m eager to see if he can elevate his game here.

  2. I’ve been so excited about Quickley that I kinda forgot we got RJ too. Wow.

Let’s go RJ! πŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦here’s hoping the change of environment helps him and he has a breakout year with us

I do think he has potential, but he may or may not realize it.

watching him play I really think he needs to just slow way, waaay down. He’s trying to play like LeBron, beating people with speed and athleticism when he actually doesn’t have the physical ability to do that against NBA players.

He is very strong for a wing though. He needs to learn to slow down, and use his body more to gain advantages that are ground-based. Embrace that YMCA, Paul Pierce type game and I think he can be a much more effective player.

I think the other thing is if he can fulfill his potential in Toronto there’s absolutely zero chance of RJ leaving.

I have a feeling we’ll see a Wiggins like resurgence from him. He won’t be an Allstar level player (unless we have enough Kpop stans in Toronto?), but he’ll be ripe to unlock some high end role player duties from him, which is all we need from guys surrounding Scottie. Simplify his role, get him to buy in, and hope you can develop him to be REALLY good at that. Best of luck to him and Darko!

Hopefully a change of scenery can be good for him

He was just tanking his efficiency so he could get traded to the Raptors this whole time. :S

I’m putting all the stock in RJ. Going home is huge, but another thing is this guy has played for a team putting him in the trade machine the last like 2 years. Going to a place he KNOWS wants him like y’all could give him some extra motivation too.

Im just happy Flynn and Precious are gone

The Maple Mamba is a Raptor! Getting him at 23 years old is such a win for the for the franchise!

can’t wait to see the inconsistency in person

He’s an inefficient chucker that’s going to play even worse here because we have zero spacing unlike the Knicks. Good job, traded the wrong guy Masai πŸ‘

I am sure hoping this isn’t a Leaf type signing of a hometown player with shortcomings to appease the fan base.

RJ Barrett was the real Prince that was promised after all…
