It was not wide open and if Vando has to beat a defender at the rim or anywhere, his chances of doing anything positive plummet. So LeBron (and maybe Ham) share a lot of responsibility for that particular failed play.
You can play with a player with limited offense, but only if you acknowledge it and play accordingly. But if you keep putting that player in bad situations, bad things are going to keep happening.
