LeBron not getting back has cost this team multiple times.

Side note, Vando is unplayable due to his offensive abilities.

It’s every game multiple points given up. This is why I don’t blame the refs, the Lakers put themselves in a position to let them control the game

  2. HumbleBrothers

Without him we’d be a lottery team and he’s also 39 years old. We have to take the good with the bad.

  3. kanekikochaboggy

    You have get over this.

It will keep happening. He is 39. He will rest on defense in the regular season at multiple points.

If you can’t get over this then sorry I guess.

LeBron’s not going to play hard on defense in the regular season, it’s been obvious for years now. People will make excuses but it does hurt the team.

Yup. These are times when LeBron is mad about a call.

Sometimes it’s because he’s gassed from all he does going into the 3rd quarter and needs a timeout, while Darvin is for some reason saving them up and he’s only called 2 all game.

His body language is terrible. People will make excuses and say he’s resting or he’s old but what exactly is he resting for here? It’s a 2 possession game with 40 seconds left you don’t rest in these situations.

These plays wouldn’t matter if Dlo averages a consistent 17/20 points a game.

  8. It’s also unacceptable for him to be 39 years old and routinely the only one outside AD who brings the requisite energy and attention each night. Whole team full of young hungry guys who don’t bring near the energy or focus night to night as he does.

  9. National_Secret_5525

He’s been doing that for many years now

And yet he’s stilll top 5 -10 in impact metrics do is AD those guys give all they can for this dogshit franchise . The issue is not ONE TOP 100 player on this team OUTSUDE them . That’s embarrassing, not one player who has a positive epm even since Dlo fell off. Rui is like 250th player n paid 3rd highest on this team . All other guys are 129-300

This analysis is great. They’d def be better off without him.

  12. Many games this season were super close. If our players hustled just a bit more, we would have won many of them

  13. Top-Consequence-911

You bake that in with LeBron in the regular season. Learn to live with it unless the team magically becomes good enough for him to play 29 mpg.

  14. CmonTouchIt

lmao not having Bron would’ve cost us soooo many more. Can’t expect the oldest guy in the league to bring it fully on BOTH ends every minute, esp since it’s the offensive end we need him more on

LISTEN, KID! I’ve been hearing that crap ever since I was at UCLA. I’m out there busting my buns every night! Tell your old man to drag Walton and Lanier up and down the court for 48 minutes!

  16. magic9669

Shhhhhhh. Can’t call out LBJ like that! Gonna ruffle a lot of feathers.

By the way, couldn’t agree more

  17. Street-Common-4023

Not defending bron but this man been doing this since he joined the lakers and sometimes on the Cavs

The bigger travesty was that he passed it to Vando. He’s the smartest player in the league. He should know not to pass it to that fn bum. I rather he take the shot at the risk of getting called for an offensive foul(he wouldn’t have).

  19. MrSyphax

this take is simultaneously correct and stupid as hell

  20. TorontoRaptors34

I think Bron should focus more of his energy on defense he is in great shape this long no excuse.

  21. prodij18

This pass to Vando was like throwing an alley-oop in traffic to Reaves or kicking it out to Hayes for 3. It was not wide open and if Vando has to beat a defender at the rim or anywhere, his chances of doing anything positive plummet. So LeBron (and maybe Ham) share a lot of responsibility for that particular failed play.

You can play with a player with limited offense, but only if you acknowledge it and play accordingly. But if you keep putting that player in bad situations, bad things are going to keep happening.

  22. Js_On_My_Yeet

Y’all asking for too much from the oldest dude in the league

  23. SeeingThings123

Why does AD not get called out for this too? So often he’s trailing plays. I remember last WCF, Nikola can’t-jump-over-piece-of-paper Jokic was outrunning him on fastbreaks.

Not absolving Bron because I criticize his defense a lot, but AD does this too.

  24. Complex-Weakness767

Check the replay. It clearly shows him getting back each time.

  25. A lot of people would do that especially if Vanderbilt had the go ahead dunk, wtf was he supposed to do push foul the defenders?!?!?! Bruh these people dont watch basketball I swear

  26. Eric_T_Meraki

If that’s the difference between us winning a game a game or not then don’t get your hopes us up to high this season lol. The fact that we rely so heavy on a near 40 yr old just shows how sorry of a state this team is in.

  27. ValuableAssociate8

I would be pissed to if Vando kept missing easy NBA layups

  28. -notjeremyj-

You get use to it as the season goes on 🚶‍♂️

  29. Hazzardous1990

Depending on a 39 year old to carry the team night in and night out has cost this team
