the lakers still haven’t recovered since winning the IST championship and that’s surprising because they looked like legitimate contenders in that tournament

  2. lannistargaryen

Holy hell the fucking Lakers are .500 again. 3-8 in their last 11

    Something needs to change man

  3. Fifth_Element_Matrix

    Thank you Pelicans!

Happy New Year everyone, the Lakers lost, the future is bright.

  4. yerr2477

i cant believe the IST champs have done this

  5. UnimpressedAsshole

Player of the Game: New Orleans Icon Jose Alvarado with 8 points

  6. Lakers looked tired and Pelicans looked highly motivated.

everyone say thanks to jose alvarado for getting the new year off to a good start

  8. dantheman4248

Jose got Lebron with the classic GTAlvarado.

Herb was splashing from the corner.

CJ had a nuclear quarter then understood it wasn’t going to be there the whole game and deferred.

Zion survived foul trouble and got Toni in his own foul trouble.

BI sent a few statement shots.

JV and Nance did tons of work on Toni defensively.

    Much needed TEAM win. Cathartic.

Lakers, Warriors and Suns all being in the play-in tourney might get higher ratings than the finals.

  10. Lakers being 17-17 is wild, Lebron and AD have been playing better than expected, Reaves has been solid, Prince is being asked to do way too much but its not doing that bad either.
Not sure if you blame coach/players or whatever but the trade rumours are gonna go nuts if they dont start winning again.

The Pelicans played this game with a MASSIVE chip on their shoulder and it showed

  12. AnEmptyKarst

Holy shit the Pels built up a double digit lead, and they *didn’t* give it up? We just held it? Like a competent team?

2023 ending on a high note, let’s get fucked up

Scoring has become insane in the league now. Teams casually go 50/50/80 collectively.

Lakers are starting to look more cooked than my Thanksgiving turkey. And that turkey resembled jerky more than anything.

Jokes aside, this team is falling down a coaching ineptitude and poor roster construction. Missing out on Toronto players has to hurt. Realistically when LeBron is out they need AD and an all defensive lineup to stop the bleeding.

  15. I am just here to remind the Laker fans what I said when Yall signed him.

Hayes is not a 5. You have to play him at 4 and have a 5 that can clean up his defensive mistakes or if the 5 isn’t a defensive 5 you have to put Jax on the guy in corner.

Its that or he cant be on the floor.

God am I happy the Jax at 5 experiment is over.

How many ice in the veins celebration were there today?

  17. incredibleamadeuscho

The Lakers end 2023 terribly. Not a lot of optimism we can see on the horizon other than we are home for the next 9 out of 10 games.

  18. Youngreezy23

It’s hilarious how Lakers fans have gone from how they won the off season and now it’s the team is terrible and needs trades
