HUGE trade Incoming?- Shams links Harris to MULTIPLE Teams | Sixers News
For what seems like the 100th consecutive season of Tobias Harris trade rumors we have more to discuss about the Outlook of the Sixers forward ahead of the NBA trade deadline we know that Tobias has been a popular name among circles and Within These six years specifically as if there is any sort of
Big Time move that these six years look to make it seems pretty likely that Tobias Harris contract will be one that would be involved well we have a little Clarity on a new report from from sham shiria of the athletic who said today on his FanDuel show that a lot of teams are
Monitoring Tobias Harris situation his quote exactly was quote a lot of teams are keeping an eye on him and seeing what exactly happens with him so Tobias is an interesting player and very interesting in the context of this entire conversation and before I get any further in Tobias Harris discussion I’ve
Seen a lot of love for Bohan bogdanovich of the Detroit Pistons as a potential trade Target and did want to bring this up here a report that they have no interest in trading bogdanovich whatsoever uh and the quote from the report saying that I’ve heard and
Continue to hear that there is no plans to trade bgan unless Detroit gets an offer it can’t refuse now the Detroit Pistons have no clue what they’re doing as a basketball franchise and honestly it’s become quite entertaining to watch from afar they most recently lost lost their 28th consecutive game against the
Celtics despite being up 20 points at halftime and who knows what their Outlook is from here I will say that Kate Cunningham is the real deal and looks very good growing into a star but it doesn’t make sense not to flip bogdanovich for really anything at this
Point that something to better your team for the future cuz he’s not going to be a guy that make or breaks that roundout but I do get the argument of keeping veterans around but anyway this could be one potential Target to take off the Tobias Harris kind of monitor but I just
Want to talk about the context and the decision- making of Tobias Harris as a whole so we’ll start off with Tobias Harris has been one of the stabilizing forces in this sixish franchise he’s now in his sixth season with the Sixers and for all the crticism that he gets it’s
Pretty much all tied to the dollar signs to connected to his name to dive in that specifically Tobias Harris contract signed a 5year 1880 180 8 million contract right before the 201920 season this being right after they traded him in mid Midway through the 201819 season
Uh when he was with the Clippers at that point Tobias now in the final year in which he’s making 39.27 million and also would like to note that there is a 5% trade kicker in the event that Harris is flipped in a deal that comes out to
About 2 million a little less than 2 million so he’ll be bumped into the 40s for this one but the bottom line is that is the reason for a lot of Tobias criticism it is that number attached to him that influenced us and there are areas me that feel bad for Tobias Harris
That he does get a bad rap absolutely he’s a guy he’s a player that has seen his role change more than just about any player across the entire league when there’s been instances where he’s been asked to be a number two option on these Sixers such as Duran the Ben Simmons
Hold out in situations like that there’s also been opportunities in which he’s been reduced to being essentially a catch and shoot three-point role player and that really hasn’t been vibing with his game either but the frustrating part about Tobias Harris is he’s such an is
Is what it is guys that you know what you’re going to get from him and what you’re going to get from him frankly just isn’t quite enough for what the Sixers team needs that there’s no doubt he’s a better basketball player than a lot of these players that I’m going to
Kind of bring them up in conversation but when we talk about fit and building out a roster Tois Harris is just straight up not what this Sixers team needs that when you’re building a successful NBA team you have your two stars that being Joel embiid and Tyrese
Maxi very clearly and then you find players that compliment them link them and bring out the best of them Tas Harris is none of those things that he likes to shoot in similar areas of Joel embiid that both of them would prefer to operate in that mid-range kind of postup
Space and there’s no reason why Tobias should be getting those touches when the MVP league and one of the greatest scorers of all time wants to do the exact same thing he’s not a quick decision maker he’s not a willing catch and shooter and to kind of talk about
His specific numbers here let’s take a look at these stats on the year so a little bit of a a push back and increase from last season across the board that playing 32.9 minutes per game last year that is up to 34.1 minutes per game along on with that his scoring went from
14.7 points to 17.1 points per game his rebounding up to 6.1 per game 2.9 assists when you look at the percentages 37% from three but what concerns me most is seeing that number drop from 4.4 3point attempts to 3.3 three-point attempts this season and especially considering that this was a guy taking
Five three-point attempts back during the 201819 season and the 1920 season that was during the Al Horford era during the Jimmy Butler era that that was a time where Tobias was much willing off the catch and shoot that 3.3 attempts per game I frankly just don’t think is good enough that I think
There’s a real argument to be made that a worse overall basketball player who’s a more willing shooter and more effective shooter than Tobias Harris just straight up makes more sense for this Sixers team and to look at the roster as a whole and what this current
Team has I think that we for so often this Sixers roster has been starved of this three and D kind of depth that that’s been an area which they have failed to get adequate players that check that box and fit that category now that they have begun to do that with
Players like Kelly UB Robert Covington Marcus Morris Nicholas patum it’s becoming clear that Tobias Harris is just straight up not that special in the context of those comparisons now Tobias deserves credit for being one of the more durable players across the NBA he does show up every night he does bring
It he does try this isn’t a lack of effort Thing by any means but there’s just limitations in his game that are frankly never going to go away that he’s never going to be a more Elite Defender that he is at this moment and while he
Commits on that side of the ball and tries in way he just can’t quite hang with some of these players in a way that some defensive gloves can in a way that the Sixers would benefit from a player with that skill set a player like Robert Covington who just has hands everywhere
That you feel his presence defensively every second he is on the floor with that 7 foot2 wingspan and then you think about a player like Nicholas patum who just makes the game so simple makes smart decisions is quick with his decision- making his entry passes to Joel embiid are phenomenal and create
Easy offense for the Sixers team and has such a willing and quick release on the three-point numbers that is a player that fits directly in between the Tyrese Maxi and Joel embiid Tobias Harris not so much now the argument to be holding on to Tobias Harris it all comes back to
The dollar signs that finally the end is in sight for this contract that for so long we have talked about what an ugly contract this is is this the worst contract in the NBA all those conversations have been had for years with Tobias Harris with the ending
Finally in sight that the Sixers could be looking at that as we just want to get it off the books that it’s more valuable for them to see it out for the remainder of the season and get those $40 million off the salary cap and then
Begin to look begin to look from there that we’ve talked so much this season about this salary cap plan that Daryl Mor has been quite open about wanting to put this roster in the position where they have the MVP caliber player and Joel embiid a rising star in Tyrese Maxi
And just blank cap space to attack whoever they see fit that would change if they make a trade here that if they trade Tobias Harris and this is part of the reason why he’s appealing to other teams as well he is a guy that is
Capable of giving you 20 and 10 a good locker room guy and with a young roster could be a great fit there but a team is looking for that same kind of cap relief that if you want to compare it to an option like Zack LaVine Zack LaVine
Pretty early in his deal over 200 million still need needing to be paid out while they make similar money po per season the six would be sacrificing a great deal of money in the long term by trading for LaVine so the Bulls would look at that as a way out saying we
Trade you LaVine with his contract in all the years the next few seasons on it for just this of Tobias we essentially save ourselves like $200 million that’s a big deal and that’s why Tobias Harris is finally a positive trade value but it also this cap space plan has kind of
Brought me back to the idea of like are we sure that this is the only way it works that are we sure that the INF free agency teams are going to look at Philadelphia and say that is where I want to play basketball now it’s gotten better the situation has gotten more
Stable in Philadelphia now that Daryl my has been here now that Nick nurse is here but when you look at the track record of this organization whether it be all the general manager turn turn over the front office issues the burner accounts the list goes on and on for
Issues with the franchise and when you look at the track record of signing free agents in reality the biggest free agent in recent memory that the Sixers have signed is Al Horford and he hated it here and then when you look at the list of free agents that will be here this
Summer it’s not quite as glorious as I think a lot of people are making out to be that there is the potential for LeBron James Paul George and Ka Leonard to become available but they’re also all on player options and frankly I would be surprised if any of those guys leave
With the exception of LeBron obviously with the brownie James ties and if there’s something with him wanting to play with his son I do believe that ultimately will happen well Kawai and Paul George after making that all-in trade for James Harden I find it unlikely that Steve Balmer isn’t isn’t
Willing to pay them whatever they want to stay then look at beyond that Klay Thompson has struggled this year and is looking old he’s looking his age and pass his Prime and then there’s Tobias Harris and James AR as the next two up on that list and we’ve seen how both
Those stories go even guys like Pascal cakam you can kind of have your feelings about Drew holiday Gordon Hayward Kyle Lowry Demar D rozan these are fine players these aren’t guys that I’m saying are bad but are these the missing piece to take these Sixers to the true Championship contenders and make them
Favorites and title title favorites to win a championship I don’t know if I feel that way about any one of these guys that I’m not ready to plant my flag on that so if the game plan is to wait for those names to wait for this I guess
Rainbow at the end of the road which is the free agent class I just don’t know if that pot of gold is up to what the the the mindset that we have of it is that is that isn’t the Cure All to me and I also am a big believer in making a
Trade and getting a player under contract that you know you have is much more valuable than the hope that one comes that I would rather one be set in stone than be hoping for something to fall in place now look I’m not going to sit up here and say that Tobias Harris
Has to be traded that the Sixers could be doing worse at this point in time he’s overall a fine basketball player a great great locker room guy and a guy who’s stuck through it all that if he’s that well-liked within the the team and
That he is a a leader on the team a guy that people respect I understand the logic behind not shaking it up enough but from a basketball perspective I see no reason why the Sixers could not improve by trading Tobias Harris by giving more opportunity to Kelly UB giving more opportunity to Nicholas
Patum giving more opportunity to Robert Covington Marcus Morris or potentially getting upgrade over any of those guys if you can find an OG and an Obi or Pascal cakam or something along those lines in a deal it should make sense from the Sixers so I know it’s not an
Easy decision to swallow but what has changed for my Outlook this season as the Sixers are off to their best start since the 20201 season is we should not just be banking on this cap space plan the Sixers are good enough to contend right now you don’t know how many years
Of this version of Joel embiid we will get it is should be owed by Daryl my to Joel embiid to give him every fighting chance to win a championship every single year he’s playing at this level he’s the best player in the NBA and can
Win a game on his own on any night basis surround him with the talent it takes to get them through a playoff run it will be up to Joelle to deliver then but if the cost of that is trading Tobias Harris it should not stop the Sixers so
Hopefully those teams are still paying attention hopefully Daryl Mor finds a way to make things worse but I do think that this is a storyline we will continue to monitor as the trade deadline approaches thank you guys for tuning in this video make sure to smash that subscribe button drop a like on
This video and let me know your comments I want to hear your best Tobias Harris mock trade in the comments I’ll Dr I’ll drop my replies and let me know my thoughts on that as well but I will talk with you next time right here on Sixers digest peace

Sixers – need a young 3 and D player – Lauri Markkanen or Franz Wagner or Mikail Bridges
If all Sixers have to offer is Tobias, they are screwed
Listen folks, y’all need to go ahead and swallow this pill now, that Tobias Harris is LIKELY to NOT be going anywhere this season. And probably, the MAIN reason why, is because Daryl Morey does not want to disrupt or break up any continuity of the team. So it’s looking like NO one may not be traded DURING this season due to, again, because they want to keep continuity for Embiid’s sake.😉
After watching Tobias last night. I’m ready for a trade.
Tobias just doesn’t fill in the gaps left by Tyrese and Joel. A decisive off-ball scorer like Lauri Markkanen would fit better but the odds we have the means to get him are slim to none
Dude it's over already and now the Sixers have to go for it all if they want to win a championship with Embiid.
You can't miss out on getting Jaylen Brown, then Tatum basically making your Biggest Rival in the Celtics. Then picking Harris over Jimmy Butler making another Rivalry in the Heat and lastly picking Harden over Haliburton and believes you already didn't totally fail Embiid plus ruin his career.
The Sixers have 2 chances (truly 1) in getting Markkanen this season which is impossible for the Sixers and to get LeBron or Kawhi in the off-season, not another bad move that Guarantee you having to trade Embiid because you got Zack Lavine who definitely don't help you win a championship and prevents you from even trying to make another move after because no one wants his contract.
After missing out on O.G. It's all in or nothing, not getting scare to make a horrible move now.
Will take Lavine only if they throw in Drummond.
Are Batum & Covington not 3&d’s they need a sg Melton’s shooting % is horrible
What can they get in return? The only possible trade I see for Tobias is if the Sixers are willing to take back a long contract. Im sure LaVine is available. Im not so sure about any other team's interest in Tobias other than him being a salary dump…
Here's what's gonna happen. We trade tobias for a player who's gonna help us out this season, plus a 1st round pick for next season. Then we'll draft LBJ jr, and sign LBJ sr with him. As LBJ sr said, money won't matter as long as he plays with his son.
Although tbh, I badly want Lauri in our team this season.
Bridges;Lonnie walker Dorian for Tobias, Roco, Furkan or whatever small contract they want to add and whatever picks they want; Good trade?Bad trade?
Boy oh boy
Click bait bs
Where is the incoming trade ? BS
They need to trade whoever they have to along with some draft picks to get a big-time 3rd scorer. Pascal Siakim would be ideal because he played with coach Nurse for years and would fit in nicely on the team.
Did you take into account the stretch of games he got single digit fgas. Tobias is a guy who won't rock the boat but be ready when his number is called. He's a pros pro, and downgrading offensively to pick up a role player makes little sense. Lavine takes shots away. Anunoby would've been a defensive upgrade and offensive downgrade. What we need is another guard, combo guard, to take some ball handling duties off of Tyrese plate and run the second unit when Maxey is off the floor. Also allows Melton to return to the bench. Also we need a backup center because Reed gets pushed around.
Is it for pascal? This could be good
You go after tobias way to much man, it's hard to find a single video you put out
Three way trade for send him to Detroit, who care to get him now and reserve his Bird Rights to that they can match any offer he gets. After this season there is no chance they will be able to sign a quality Vet in FA. This ensures they have at least one quality Vet that can help steer a rebuild.
Even though Jaden Ivey has recently started it looks like that is just to help audition him for a trade as he has been out of favor with Williams all season.
He gives a second point guard for the second unit that can score on the bench that can be a spot starter and or grow into a starter. He’s under contract at reasonable money for another couple of years maybe we can also get them to throw in Sasser as a young bench shooter to groom.
To make the salary match they have to throw in Joe Harris who is sent to Utah.
Utah sends us back John Collins who again is cheaper, younger, and under contract for 2 more years.
He instantly replaces Tobi production as the numbers are similar with less minutes and opportunities in that system. He’s playoff proven as we’ve seen first hand and in both ATL and Utah he’s never been the third guy perhaps this unlocks another level to his game at worst he is cheaper Tobi.
Utah got him for a second and now is rumored to already want out. They have Laurken and Taylor in the wings. He is redundant for them. Harris allows them to get out of his contract this summer. They do it straight up maybe even send pick considerations.
Even if the decision is Collins comes off the bench you haven’t sent out Morris or Covington in a trade you can insert them in as PF for Tobi.
trade him for Pascal
Sixers realistic options:
1. Caruso, Hield, and Markannen
2. Caruso, Hield, Finney Smith
3. Siakam, Finney smith, and Tyus jones
4. Settle for Lavine + Finney smith
Your crazy if it wasn't for him playing the hardest job he did it and didn't cry trade him and watch
He does the job but he not getting hurt
Make Tobias a 6th man. Russ Westbrook flourished in this role. Give RoCo and Kelly more minutes. Tobias can lead the second unit. No trade needed.
Mikal Bridges
Lauri Markkanen
Dejounte Murray
Buddy Hield
Malcolm Brodgon
Tobias is going to the Knicks for Julius and Hartenstein , Julius has a 15 % Kick in his Contract …….
The Sixers would become a very Serious Title contender…
The knicks on the other hand will resign next year , Oj , Tobias on a much lower contract , and Grimes ..
I don't know, Gordon Hayward with the way hes been playing this year. Sounds like a good fit. They need to go get Bol Bol lol
The man is a good fit. Is how it's the design. Leave the brother alone.
We are keeping this unit together this is our year. Look at Denver. Stop it pls
Stinks, get rid of him 😎
