Saddiq’s #1 priority (with any team) this offseason is to clean up the fundamentals on his jump shot. It’s ugly, and the weird mechanics are probably why he’s so inconsistent.
Love the upside, love the energy he brings every night, but that 3pt % doesn’t jibe on a contending team.

Fontecchio has really evolved into a solid 3&D wing this season. I think we should consider him

And it’s a huge issue for him, because he’s a terrible defender, so when his shot isn’t falling, he’s a very negative player.

I’m not convinced saddiq offers much more than Wesley Matthews at this point in the season

It’s sad cuz he was absolutely money out the corner last season. He shot an absurd percentage there for most of his time here last year

He’s definitely streaky, it’s too bad he’s been cold for a while because he was shooting 40 percent from three early on.

Did he have a good defensive reputation prior to coming to the Hawks? My understanding is that he didn’t. It was like 5 second round picks that were traded for him and fans regularly devalue those picks. He is a free agent after the season and probably shouldn’t be re-signed long term. Could be stuck trading him for little or him just leaving after the season.

I’m honestly very confident that this is going to correct itself soon. Him and bogi are simply streaky like that
Or we’ll trade him and he’ll proceed to shoot 75% from 3 on the next team for the rest of the year
