[Knicks Analytics] After yesterday’s 3 steal/3 block game, Isaiah Hartenstein now ranks 1st overall in the NBA in defensive EPM. His hustle numbers have been exceptional; 11th in box outs/36 and 7th in distance traveled/36 despite being 7 feet and 249 pounds.

excellent, bring in eg14000 and give him a parade
Not surprised at all with him being 7th in distance traveled and 30th in average speed. The guy is constantly moving on defense.
They need to pay him.
thats what I’ve been saying, is mitch actually better than this guy defensively
and hartenstein is vastly better on offense. unbelievably better.
we cannot lose this guy under any circumstances. it would be a massive massive mistake. other guys should be made expendible if it means keeping hartenstein
I keep saying it, iHart needs an extension. He’s much better than he gets credit for.
This pains me to write, but I think the Knicks potentially trade Mitch either this season or in the offseason. Knicks should extend iHart, and having that much money locked up in our center rotation is not the best for the roster construction. I wouldn’t be surprised if Mitch/Fournier + picks are packaged together to get a star (maybe Grimes).
At the same time, I love Mitch, I want him to stay on the Knicks and I want us to extend iHart.
Question is dEPM one of those magical defense stats that actually means nothing outside of the context of the team? Or one of those magical defense stats that actually means Hartenstein is the greatest player of all time?
Trade this scrub! – Stephen A. Smith.
He wants to get paid.
We have been blessed with defensive bigs the past few years… either that or the scheme just caters to them. Kinda weird to see Nerlens without a team after he played well stepping in last time.
