[Slater] Tonight will be the 10th game of Draymond Green’s indefinite suspension. Steve Kerr said Green still hasn’t been in the facility. They’ve had some text communication. But no next step update as of now. “We’ve been giving him his space, he’s been giving us ours.” (0:39)

“Hasn’t been in the facility” Wasn’t a stipulation of this suspension that he could still practice and be with the team?

  2. BeetLover1111

Probably going to be more than 11-13 games then ☹️

Man, was this actually a bigger deal than we thought? As if an indefinite suspension wasn’t a big deal already

Dude’s gonna need at least 4-5 games to ramp up into shape. Basically half the season down the drain for him with his bullshit.

Sounds like he needs to be traded, tbh.

It’s not going to be the same for him or the team coming back, and it’s definitely not going to be better. And even if it were the same, that still wouldn’t be good.

  6. They’ve been very we’re not saying much about any of this since it’s happened. This answer from Steve strikes me as more of the same in a ‘we don’t get a say in any of this, the league is the one making all of the decisions here so we’re not saying anything that can be misconstrued by the league office as getting out ahead of our skis before they’ve given any kind of sign off’ because we’re not trying to piss them off.

Guess we’ll find out when he’ll come if we hear he’s training again.
He should start training and practicing a few weeks before coming back . My guess

The team doesn’t want him in the facility. He’s getting traded. That’s why he’s receiving counseling.

If it took Dray months to get his voice after the punch how likely is it anybody actually listens to him when he gets back besides maybe the rooks? At this rate I’d look to make calls for Claxton, Allen, Caruso as potential targets to at least try find ways to anchor the defense without Draymond moving forward.

With how good Sharpe looks I wouldn’t be surprised if Nets sell high on Claxton than actually give him the bag. Caruso seems gettable if we send out moody and a pick. Allen might be untouchable since he’s balling with guys out.

My hope was that the PR move was to have him be “away” until mid January and come back around the all start break. But if he is not even practicing with the team then… yikes. I don’t think he’ll be back and if he will, it will suck to have him on a team that has made multiple moves while he was away.

Very few players in the league have been as committed to winning as Draymond has in his career. This is a tough moment created by the league treating him unfairly because he’s loud^1. I’m happy to note that most irl bay area Warriors fans stick with Draymond through this, though of course this subreddit has the dumbest takes possible.

^1 You cannot convince me that his “dirty” play is the reason he’s being suspended when Giannis, Embiid, CP3, Jokic, Pat Bev and others have never gotten ‘repeat offender’ suspensions despite injuring people and having multiple altercations.

Raise your hand if you think Draymond Green comes back mentally and physically ready to play championship level basketball and the Warriors improve enough to make a deep run through the playoffs. If you aren’t raising your hand and aren’t pushing for the Warriors to get something back in a trade for Draymond, what do you want?

I’m seeing a lot of trade Draymond comments and that really shows who the fairweather fans are. You guys are idiots if you think we’re going to trade the defensive anchor and one of the most experienced champions in the league. I could give less about what Draymond does in the regular season. He’s a 16 game player that wins when it matters.

😭 Damn did he do any therapy sessions or anything?

  15. kumingaaccount

Great he is getting better but I’d rather him be on the court lol. we need him.

  16. Maleficent-Lobster93

They gave him $100 million and he has fucked off all season.

Pathetic. This is legacy damaging stuff.

Green is too busy partying with Bron for his birthday but unlike Green, Bron knows what’s more important.

  18. Theopocalypse

This gives “he might not be coming back” vibes.

  19. damn, steve is not sure if draymond will be in shape to even play when he gets back. Strange they made working out or going to practice optional

  20. storywardenattack

Just want to say that this suspension is fucking absurd.
