Cade and Ivey fit, Streak Over, START AUSAR! | Woodward Pistons EP 94

Oh man oh man oh man go Mr jeffi Freddy was holding it down on the morning Woodward show today man you would like that mean bro that guy with the sword and everybody was just chasing after him he was just out there like yo I’m here

To do work it comes with the territory you know I say you say your opinion people don’t agree with it I’ll tell you one thing though one opinion you can’t disagree with is um it’s horrific to watch the Pistons right now but hey man but hey that’s an

Opinion I don’t think anybody would argue with me about um but I’ll tell you one thing still story lines to speak about yeah I mean it doesn’t get old there’s always story lines we could speak about I mean OG and anob getting traded Isaiah Stewart injured man Jaden Ivy’s

Cryptic post game comments that I think just I don’t know there’s so many things when you lose that many games it’s hard there’s always something to talk about yeah I want to talk about their fit too Jay and ivk Cunningham I know that that’s something that when he was

Drafted we were excited about what Jay iy could bring to the table right then K Cunningham gets injured 12 games into Jay Navy’s rookie season right you always talk about this Jay Navi was then kind of handed to Reigns a year after Kade was handed to Reigns and now you

Got these two players trying to play together and Jay Navi had some interesting things to say about their I loved it I I like something we’ve said we’ve harped on when pre-draft and post-draft where did we say at Purdue he played a lot of off ball and what did he

Say I played a lot of offall so like that that’s how that that works so for the F thing every great player is good with the ball in their hands like no one’s arguing that but the idea that two guys can’t coexist because they both need the ball

In their hand to me is is now you look at fit okay okay you look at C can this guy shoot uh can this guy be a respectable shooter so that way he can play off ball I get all that but to say these guys can’t play alongside each

Other exed when they really have what a handful of games played together 100% when you see Superstar teams come together when you see teams that are supposed to fit come together the one thing that they’re always given is that you got to give them time to get their

Chemistry up remember when uh Jaylen Brown there was a time where Jaylen Brown and Jason Tatum it there was a time where people were saying split it up split it up they made the NBA finals and what are they doing right now they they the Celtics are just continuing to

Build around those guys adding Derek white right adding at christops porzingis and it’s working so and of course they got a new coach and everything you know the rest is history but yeah the whole you know people are quick to jump to that stuff it takes

Time I mean this is the it’s not even a full season yet of these two sharing a court together so just need context context is everything yeah let’s get into it hey man what up though people it is your boy Brandon D AKA Detroit Kool-Aid and you’re tapped in with the

Woodward Pistons podcast on the Woodward Sports Network joined Again by my guy and and honestly one of the Staples one of the Main Stays man that’s why that name is down in the bottom there Mr jeffi Freddy Mr Hollywood Mr Morning woodw Show himself man shout out to Sam

As well and JB and the whole crew man and we’re waiting for the legend to jump on here he might jump on uh the show this morning and it’ll be dope so we can get that third voice in there and get our original crew back together again

Give you guys another treat but um yeah we got a lot to talk about today man Jeff first and foremost bro how are you feeling today well I’m feeling good I’m I’m I’m going to give Rod the pass I mean his private jet might is just running late yeah I’m throwing it back

On Rod he’s the chief now right yeah he gets picked up by a helicopter so you know he texted us we gota wait a little bit hel helicopter’s Landing but I’m feeling great I’m fired up I appreciate you a ton if you guys are watching and you’re not subscribed what the hell are

You doing please subscribe hit the like button we we Pistons get you guys are crushing and I’d love to be a part of it I love coming on post morning over show and chopping it up with you um it’s been an interesting season um not just just

For you know being a Pistons fan but just being a Detroit sports fan you get to see the Lions get screwed by the refs you get to see the Pistons get a a big win in Toronto don’t we got to start there have to start there he hey we

Could talk hey by the way we we could yeah Michigan going to The Natty cool you know Lions going toe-to-toe W with Dallas cool but like beating the Raptors man can we bro not just beating the RO put some respect but they got that one extra win for the new year we wondered

Are they going to get another win this year three they got three they got another win this year 3 and 79 sounds a lot better than 2 and 80 and then they say we don’t care about nothing Elson got popped by the Houston Rockets that well that was yeah that was

Bad it had to be Houston man it it makes me it does it’s so unfortunate it makes me feel so bad for Monty Williams because he came out after that toron that that Toronto Raptors game the win over the Raptors and he’s like this

Could be this is a big you know it’s a weight off our shoulders I’m not I’m not directly quoting them but essentially it was like hey maybe we this could carry on this could be the start of something and then you just get smacked in the

Mouth bad as the 28 game losing Street which I still I know it sounds crazy I still believe that they’re not as bad as the record uh but you are what your record is that’s fair too that’s fair uh but then you follow it up with Kade it

Shows the value of Kade Cunningham because he has a bad shooting night and they got absolutely destroy and he was gassed man it’s so crazy how quickly people want to just jump out the Woodworks to be able to say oh look ktie ain’t that guy look man you going look

At that man’s last 10 games Especially since one J night he’s been starting alongside him and Bo bonovich has started to find his rhythm right and jayen Duran has been inserted back after injury and K Cunningham looks like that guy you know the thing I’ve loved the

Most in that Toronto game as well is that he just kind of continued to press the issue all game whether it was through facilitating or whether it was through scoring I’m starting to see a different level of aggressiveness from K Cunningham that every now and then you’re going to you’re going to have

These types of off nights I would I would be more concerned if he had an off night and it was because he was passive not because he was aggressive and he just looked Gass not because you know hey they’re on the the road trip right now and they’re playing a team honestly

In Houston who they were down by two was like 60 62 and 64 62 with about eight minutes or so left in that third quarter and then the wheels kind of fell off I’m hoping man that Monty Williams I believe that he’s a good coach and I believe

That he’s a coach that sticks to his philosophies sometimes a little too much without necessarily taking into full consideration the makeup of his team similar to like we were talking about with Dan Campbell I get if you have a team that has depth and you want to go

To that all bench unit you know what the 04 Pistons were able to do stuff like that this is not that on any level you’re when they go to that bench their depth is so depleted man especially with Stewart out now as well that it’s just

Like you gotta find some way to keep one of or even two of K Ivy or boan on the court at all times man they absolutely have to and I don’t know what happened bro I wanted to ask you about this too but Sasser and baggley are they still

Alive Yeah well yeah the the it’s funny because this the saster storyline he he played he played a lot of minutes early on played really well now you’re kind of seeing him back in and out the rotation the baggley thing too he he was playing

Really well to start the year it it is conf I mean guys it’s it’s very simple their starting lineup can barely win games so their bench is certainly not going to win any games that’s just how this just how that works um I like Burks a lot I know he’s struggling but still

We know what Burks is we have a big sample size of what he is but yeah this it depth is a problem but again it’s it’s doesn’t take a scientist to realize that I mean they’re starters you don’t have a ton of talent as it is so you

Think you’re GNA if anyone was that good Off the Bench they’d be starting that’s just how it works yep yeah people they they got some issues with assar Thompson coming off the bench right now and I think that that’s one of the moves made due to fit I just wish if he’s coming

Off the bench to utilize him a little bit better that’s the confus could be a facilitator or at least a screen and roller a dive athleticism off that back court like you remember all last year I was talking about bro throw the back door lives we at least have Ivy now you

Got Ivy you have AAR you have Duran you know that these guys have some athletic ability and some and the physical attributes honestly to to to bring it home and it just doesn’t seem like the Pistons are doing a lot to scheme that into what they do on offensive side yeah

I think he fit it sounds weird but regardless of what you think about assar he was playing well in the starting lineup I know they weren’t winning games but they’re winning games now so who gives a damn he was what was he Aver like 12 12 and nine almost a

Double double giving you about a block and a half of Steel about a steel and a half a game now he’s averaging like six points a game in his playmaking we saw that on display early on it they’re not I agree with you they’re not utilizing him correctly I just think him coming

Off the bench it is a little bit of an awkward fit uh speak speak on it man yeah it is it’s just weird I mean it’s the same kind of thing I made with Ivy it’s like I I understand completely and I think this goes back to Isaiah Stewart um because I

Know he’s been out I would just I guess you you got to put a start back in that start lineup somehow you got to just make it work you got bogey now you got a legitimate three-o throw right I I think assar is he brings a lot to the table

Than just a dude that can just defend just defend just drive to the basket just get put backs he’s a post player and a in a in a perimeter Defender I think he has more than that he’s a playmaker um there’s still plenty to work on for his for his shooting which I

I I agree there but yeah it’s it’s been weird ever since he went to the bench it just seems like he he hasn’t been able to kind of fit in it’s just it’s a weird it’s no knock on knock you know pun intended I think Kevin Knox is coming

And played his role and I get what they’re trying to do get more Shooters kind of around K get more Shooters around Ivy and I get that but if and that’s why I said okay I’m not going to I’m not gonna harp too much about assar

Being on the bench but when he’s on the bench and his minutes are significantly reduced oh yeah you’re taking the impact of a guy who’s leading your team in stocks you know steals plus blocks out of the lineup for a while there he was like one of our only real Rim protectors

Like people were driving to the rim and assar Thompson was there swatting those shots from the help the defense spot and when he’s not in the game I you look at how teams have absolutely beat the Pistons this year man they have been able to it doesn’t matter if they’re a

Star guard it don’t matter if they’re just a regular guard it don’t matter if they’re a backup guard they’re able to just kind of WT into the lane and just lay up well layup L like like freaking Desmond Bane did that three plays in a row to sinkers you’re missing and this

Is the whole thing we discussed with AAR when he was drafted is you have the ability to put a guy on the opponent’s best offensive player and alleviate pressure from Kate that’s what they said they were going yes and when he’s out of the starting lineup uh surprise you

Can’t do that he’s on the bench so that way so therefore you’re you’re arguably your best defender your best perimeter Defender and honestly he’s one of your best post Defenders too it’s crazy he’s a forward he should be in the starting lineup for that reason alone I think his

Defensive versatility in his playmaking should earn him to be in that starting lineup because I do think that helps Cade because Kade again defensively few people that on his team yeah 100% And and again you talk about well shooting shooting shooting guys that can cut to the basket that’s valuable too and any

Chance you can get to alleviate some defensive pressure off of Cade that man should be putting in you know effort but minimal effort I mean his value comes on the offensive end we know that we acknowledge that and the let you take a guy like assar in his defensive ability

Out of the starting lineup that’s a problem it affects him directly and I know the Pistons they tipped their hand a little bit and they said that they want to hold on to boam banovich even if his Ro next year changes to bench score which means I know that they’re plan is

To eventually get assar back into that starting lineup and I hope it happens this year not just next year because I like that boan can bring a little bit of scoring to the starting lineup but how much is he giv up on the defensive side that’s a problem and that’s that is a

Huge problem it’s like I to a degree would rather see assar Thompson in his transition runouts his ability to play transition defense his ability to cut his ability to dive his ability to pick and roll there was a couple times where Kade and and assar actually ran a pick and roll

Together and it looked good there was a couple plays where they subed assar Thompson and early alongside Kade and assar is one bringing the ball up the court and allows Kade and Ivy to play in kind of some of their more efficient off ball positions like I like that look and

I don’t know why they don’t go to it more I get when you’re in aggressive mode when you want K to kind of be the guy to dominate there’s going to be periods of stretches of the game where that has to be what K does right but

When you bring him in or if you start assar I really hope that they are looking at utilizing all of his full potential if he can’t necessarily shoot at the clip or the efficiency that you want him to right now you can’t let that just be the determining Factor on well I

Guess we just won’t really play assar Thompson that to me is a head scratcher If You’re Gonna Lose You live or die by your young players If You’re Gonna Lose a ton of game especially when you ain’t got nothing else yeah that’s that’s the point like if I’m going to if

If you’re going to lose 70 plus games I better see Player Development up the ying-yang like guys playing a ton of minutes then you could it sucks either way but it’s worse to lose with with when you’re playing more when you’re playing veterans more minutes like that that

That’s what sucks that was supposed to be the deal is that we will watch the young guys lose not them trying to win hapless games with the veterans and they’re kind of playing up and down and up and down and up and down because I don’t know how much assar Thompson and

Learns from the bench right I just don’t this guy is a guy who came into the league and said all I do is hoop that’s it whether it’s training whether it’s after practice whether it’s practice whether it’s shoot around he’s generally when I’m there one of the last people to

Leave the court he’s one of the last people in there working on a ple things from his handles his three-pointers his uh his floaters all of that stuff his free throws he’s one of the last people in there him Kade is another one of those guys that’s kind of like one of

Those last to leave the court durren is usually one of those last guys leave the court as well and it’s cool to see our young guys putting in that work but it’s like I really hope and I think that this is about more about scheme I want to see Monty Williams

Change things up a little bit to fit his scheme a little bit more to these players when Monty Williams was first brought in and they were talking about that 0 five offense and we went and I studied it breakthrough documentary from the Suns I thought assar Thompson was

Going to be a really good player for that system now I get it the Pistons have kind of abandoned that system a little bit and have gone more back to ball dominant uh play by the guards no matter who it is whether it’s Cade with the ball ivy with the ball or Killian

And I just don’t know how much that’s played to the benefit of assar but talking about Jay and Ivy you brought it up uh when we were kind of getting going with the intro here jayen Ivy had some interesting comments to say he had several interesting comments to say uh

What which one you want to start with the uh the one of him talking about his time at Purdue and and how he and K mes vers yeah yeah so so Jay Ivy um what was this after the Houston game I believe yep he spoke about the fact that at

Purdue he always played off ball with the Pistons especially last year he’s played more on ball than he’s been comfortable with or that he’s used to let me not say comfortable with then he’s used to and this season he’s had to kind of play on Ball and off ball and he

Talked about his fit with Kade in that regard stating that he actually feels very comfortable playing off ball with K Cunningham the the part that he said he wants to get a little bit more comfortable shout out Spencer from the heavyweights the part that he wants to get more comfortable with is actually

When he’s playing on ball with K Cunningham on the court and I’m glad that he actually kind of spoke to his experience in college and kind of put it out there like you know what I’m still learning and we got to be fair to that seconde player playing with this kind of

Dynamic probably the most dynamic player he’s ever played with in K Cunningham that guy when you think about it he just came out of college Kate is gonna be probably the best player he’s ever played with who B dominant and so I get that man but I

Want to ask you just based on things you’ve seen since they’ve been starting together what do you believe uh how do you feel about their fit I know at the beginning of them just starting there were certain people who wanted to take the victory laps early on but right now

It’s looking like they actually might be a pretty good pairing yeah no I like it I do now a lot of it depends on and Jay Ivy showed this early on is his three-point shot and he was shooting a higher percentage this year I know it’s

Creeped down a little bit it’s like low 30s I believe at this point 3 threes against the rocket but but still he’s he’s hitting at a at a high clip which I think is the biggest part of Ivy’s game which we were all we all knew he had or

He could have uh but we just weren’t certain we’re seeing it so I think that’s the biggest thing uh I think Ivy and Cade as a fit together it’s it’s very intriguing because of a couple reasons their size and what they could do defensively now you don’t want Kade

To do everything defensively but they just have I mean kid 66 you got Ivy 6’4 um they got big wingspans Ivy’s a athletic freak I think they complement each other very well like Ivy strengths and what he does well versus what kay does well um it’s interesting now people

Would argue well Jeff I believe Ivy could be better off on his own team which that’s how that’s a lot of players though you can make that argument about a lot of players I mean hell Jaylen Brown we talked about him earlier he could what do you think he could be on

His own team it’s just it’s how that works now it’s about sacrifice and I I think Ivy is smart hard enough to know yes I’m going to be a good player but this is Kate’s team this is Kate’s team everything goes in it goes through Kate Cunningham and you see kind of Jaden

Accept that role and I’ve liked them playing together I mean you see them both playing well together in the starting lineup like you see a a 25 six and six stat line from Kade you see a 20 you know five and four stat line from Ivy like they’re they’re both able to to

Get theirs playing with each other and you could stagger their minutes too so I I like the fit I I think it needs more time I mean they’re 21 22 years old so it’s hard to win in the NBA when you’re that young so I would still give it time

But so far I’m I’m I’ve been I’ve been impressed I I like it again like I said before if you’re gonna lose a ton of games I’m gonna lose with those two playing yeah because at least you’re gonna find out a lot about those guys you have to Bro all year it doesn’t

Matter what I’ve reported it doesn’t matter if I’ve reported things directly from the organization one of the biggest disagrees I’ve had and even when I tried to explain to people why Monty Williams didn’t start Ivy I still made sure to make the clear declaration that I believe ivy should play and should play

A lot of minutes right even if they’re gonna bring him off the bench give that man 30 minutes a game period period man he’s your number five pick he’s who led our team last year in a lot of different not just categories but in a lot of

Different ways and I know it wasn’t the best of Seasons but when you talk about everything they lost and if that team did put together 17 wins it’s just like you know what and Ivy looked he looked good he looked apart he looked apart what I love about this pairing between

Kade and Ivy is that they’re starting to look exactly how we thought they would when they drafted Ivy That Fire and Ice combo right that kind of methodical Pace mixed with the speed that Jay Ivy has and the one thing this is one of the improvements that I’ve absolutely loved

With in Jay Ivy’s game especially over maybe like the last five to 10 is he’s starting to play with composure he’s not just kind of a 100 miles in the 65 with bad braks he’s still 100 miles in the 65 but he got new brake pads and he got new

Rotors and I see him driving into the lane and sometimes between the legs right back out to the three-point line in the past I would seej iy just like a blur go in and then kind of complain or look for I think that comes with just experience yep absolutely experience

Film study yep uh and wanting to get better and over the last few games but really over the last like 5 to 10 games I’ve seen him be a lot more composed in that part of his game and I and it was a couple times where I saw him drive in go

Back out to three-point line counter survey and then just beat his Defender and get right to the rim and I’ve absolutely loved this part of his game then there’s a couple other times where you see him do the same thing you know he gets the ball in an ISO situation he

Drives in and in the past where it might have been like an errant floater or a Miss layup or might have been some contact on the play but the roughs kind of Let It Go now I’m seeing him finding Cade Cunningham for the three-point shot I’m seeing him find the three-point

Shooters and that’s that’s the part of his game that I’ve absolutely love the most is his ability to kind of facilitate off of the offensive looks he’s creating with his speed man and it’s been awesome to see because that’s the part that we need because we know

Kay is gonna get double team we know Kay is gonna get the triple teams we know that teams are goingon to hedge and have their fors or their fives kind of playing behind wherever the pick and role is to make sure that K is not

Getting a clean look when you have a guy as Dynamic and as fast and as skilled as Jay Ivy you’re going to set up a lot of players you’re going to set up a lot like it doesn’t matter who it is Duren Cade I mean boan I so I’m I’m with you I

Think you’re you’re 100 per correct there for for Ivy moving forward I think the biggest thing and it comes again like with experience and that goes for both Cade and Ivy is learning how to put it all together how to win games and be the the the you know the the reason

You’re winning games and and those two they’ve played a handful of games now together it it hasn’t resulted in success but I think that speaks more of what they need they need another forward that could go get you 20 like we talk about that itba seg a two-way player can

Get you 20 because you Cade strengths IV strengths I love Duran you know you like assar you like boan you like some of the pieces they have um Isaiah Stewart preferably if you’re winning games off the bench but regardless you need another guy that can be an offensive

Threat because right now it’s like who stepping up and when Ivy does things like that it’s it’s it’s awesome but you need just somebody else somebody else with some with some with some experience like like six years in the NBA at least that can come in and get you a bucket

You preaching right now and I think that would you talk about what this team is right now how teams prepare for them defensively imine prepare for a team where you have Cade you have Duren you have another guy that can gets you 20 you got Jay iy who’s continuing to take

The next steps I mean this team could have multiple guys that teams have to prepare for it would wind up making boan with the Pistons say they want to make him and that’s a kind of your secondary scoring kind of just this player that he gets lost on the defense because you are

Focused on those three players you just mentioned plus a fourth who can come in step in right away and be able to put pressure on the defense that’s what you need and also put pressure on the off on the opposing team’s offense as well I think the Pistons need as many two-way

Players as possible I’m not even saying great two-way players just players who can stand their ground on defense think about this too off and offensively think about this if you have a player like a you know will go with a Julius Randall or a por christops porzingis you look at

Their their roles on their teams right now you drop them on the Pistons they immediately immediately become what your second option I say one of the best players on the team if not your first depending on how Kate’s playing that and that speaks to your point about bogie is

He right now he’s like your second option but he shouldn’t be you put bogy on any other Contender or any good team he’s your fourth best player yeah let’s be real this is not last year’s Boon McDonald’s no and that’s and that’s why I think the Pistons personally made a

Mistake by not trading him because you knew this man is he’s not getting any younger like go he’s not getting any better as a Defender like that’s a that’s where you have to capitalize on and you see teams that are trying to contend for n title you trade that man

And you take what you can get for him right now or at the time and I understand this whole notion of well we don’t want to get younger we want to be able to add more vet Talent right now I think one of the best ways that the

Pistons can add vet Talent is if they go and they stack up as many first round draft picks that they can actually trade as possible man because there’s a lot of teams out there with vets who are looking and ready to break this thing down but we can’t necessarily be

Comfortable with the idea of getting in involved with the L marketing trade because we have no picks nothing even if they don’t want boan maybe there’s another Squad out there even if it’s a low-level first round pick but they will take boan for maybe a future first in a

Couple seconds or or first and maybe a future first depending on how the deals roll now look I know that no one’s gonna give up two first round picks for this version of boan last year you might have been able to coax it and we heard that

There were some teams that did offer first round picks for boan if you could get first round pick for Boon this year I would say do it in a heart deep because you need to stack your assets and right now boan as a player is only valuable to contending teams he’s not

Going to be valuable to any rebuilding team or or even a midling team how old will he be when this team starts winning and not just winning but contending like out The League that’s ex got he he doesn’t fit the timeline like if boan

Was 28 I’d say you know what or 30 let’s just go with 30 I’d say maybe you can get away with that he’ll be 32 33 by the time you’re seriously competing I think you could still get something out of him he’ll be 38 39 like at this point at that point he’s

A washed at I mean it you’re absolutely correct last year was the the time to trade him and uh that that they fumbled that bag they fumbled that one I I I assumed that they would get to the draft time and potentially include them in some type of a package to trade them

Because I do believe that there are secondary and and and tertiary players man out there that can give us what he’s giving us you look at like a Kevin Knox who we just literally picked up off the scrap heaps of probably somewhere in Detroit I don’t I don’t

Even know if he left Detroit man who knows he was just chilling at the crib and he’s just come in and he’s giv us more athleticism yes yes he’s giving us you know some shooting he’s given us uh cutting getting into The Rim finishing at the rim and he’s giving us some

Defense and it’s like if you can go out there and you can find that type of player why exactly are we holding on to Boon I get it he’s a consistent score you know exactly what you’re going to get from you know it’s going to be 17 to

20 points a night guaranteed that’s something Kevin Knox his consistency isn’t necessarily there but there are people better than Kevin Knox out there who cost a lot less than the 20 million a year that boan is getting and can give you very very similar and probably give

You a little bit more on the defensive end if you can get a Pistons oh my gosh bro if y’all got somebody that would offer any first round pick for boan do the deal please take it in the heartbeat take it in the heart man I mean you look

At the fact that we know the Pistons were interested in OG and anobi and that’s I said perfect segue because you’re right that fourth spot needs to be shored up that’s that’s the weak spot we’ve been saying this for two two two and a half Seasons now that’s and we get

It early on in this you say that as hey these are the holes to go fill right now once you look at everything they’ve done it’s like whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa these are now the holes that you guys have created right you haven’t gone and improved anything you’ve tried sadique

Bay there you’ve tried Isaiah Stewart there you went and traded for boan bonovich this is not the way the best four that they had three four was Jeremy Grant and we saw exactly how that worked he shot well from the outside I get he was a little bit of a black hole on

Offense the first half of that season with Kade but when they started to really settle in they looked good man and his backup was like Kelly oen coming off the bench and giving us something as well since that time time it seems like we’ve absolutely spun our wheels at the

Four now you got Oobi definitely off the board he’s not leaving New York to come to Detroit they’re going to find a way to work that out they’re going there he’s gonna probably opt out of his last deal because he got the player option and he’s gonna re up with New York I

Don’t and if he doesn’t I don’t the Pistons have the bag that they can absolutely throw at him I just don’t think he would be I don’t think he’s leaving New York though for Detroit leaving the Raptors for Detroit that’s a completely different situation but you

Got got a team that is now giving up a lot of young players giving up Hometown kid and RJ Barrett they’re going to do everything they’re going to do everything they can to make sure that OG stays with New York and that that significantly thins the free agency

Board it’s like now they have to go out there and significantly go after an acquisition I did want to get your thoughts on this man miles Bridges we know the legal trouble he’s been in but it seems like we know the Pistons were going to sign him before the legal

Troubles we know that that that those kind of rumors kind of popped up that he was a a target of theirs and then all the ISS and he even put it out there some songs and and some of his people behind the scenes was talking about yeah

We about to be pistons and then all the legal troubles happened and obviously that kind of fell apart he’s kind of come back I’m not going to say he’s rehabilitated himself for his image but he’s back he’s playing games he’s actually hooping and all of a sudden his

Name is linked to the Pistons again what options do you see out there for the Pistons man is Miles Bridges is he somebody you would be okay with that’s a tough one man yeah I that’s a tough one man I fall in the category of I I don’t care I sh have the

Watch where I say I value more what a player does on the court and off the and and on the field that’s how I’ve always been like that’s why I I Jaylen Carter that when everything was going through all everything was going on with Jaylen Carter I just said give me Jaylen Carter

And I get your point so for Miles Bridges it’s it’s I gotta be consistent give me miles Bridges I’m okay with that if he’s legally viable to play on the court y I understand that yep I understand are we make the same argument earlier if he comes to this team he’s

Immediately your second option he’s immediately one of our more Dynamic scorers on the team period bro like I’m just immediately immedi so like how am I going to argue against that I don’t think the Pistons you have no I mean if this was if this was the Nuggets if this was I

Mean hell the Timberwolves with how they’re playing right now I mean any team that’s that’s playing really well in the NBA maybe you could be like you know what we don’t really need miles I don’t really want the headache you’re the Pistons you you don’t really have an

Argument to say you don’t need a miles Bridges I think he provides a lot that this team needs he’s from here I don’t know if if you’re one of those people that believe in I don’t know about bringing a guy back home it’s fair but

At the same time I I you would think at least you’d hope with Monty Williams in this culture that they’d be able to figure it out um but yeah I’m on board if they if they traded and they got miles Bridges I’m not gonna sit here and

Complain about it yeah because as we look at their options we know they’re linked to their options Pascal seum they’re linked to Tobias Harris they’re linked to to now Mel I mean to um goodness man what’s his name can’t believe miles miles Bridges yep these are the players these are the options

Right now you know what I mean and it’s not like this is the the Cuda we’re not sitting here saying that this is the the the best shery board out there but it’s like these are the players that they have to work with right now that we know

They can probably make something happen I know Tobias Harris’s wife is from here supposedly Tobias Harris is is not against the idea of coming here he is still a good player I think he’s the guy that if he was on this team right now given his age given his talents I would

Give him the boan bonov his treatment maybe I could see that a little bit more but not boan at his age man no I I just can’t that no I’m I’m with you I I got to get out of here now I was about to

Say man we shout out to Mike by the way he does audio for Big D he’s not feeling well today so I’m filing in for him on Big D energy it’s gonna come out after that but again oh look at the camera you knew they knew Hollywood was all right

  1. Monty screwed up. Let's hear it. Ivey should have been playing with Cade from day one until it showed it didn't work. In what world is Killian better than Ivey. Also the way they have played lately, shows that Stewart needs to be gone. Whoever said that a contender wants Stewart. They can have him. Here is a trade proposal. Utah is desperate to get off the John Collins contract. Offer offer Stewart, Monte Morris and Wiseman. Then you can start Cade, Ivey, Ausar, Collins, and Duren. Then your bench be Sasser, Burks Bojan, Livers, Bagley. Yes the bench would suck defensively.

  2. unfortunately cade , ausar, ji & ivey immediately flourish elsewhere.. even jd and sasser smh

also just want to add how much facts you guys spoke! we would learn so much more about our young core if they play together!

streak is over, season almost over.. let the young ones get reps!

  3. I wish Troy can see my text but get Deondre Hunter from the hawks and Andre Drummond back from the bulls immediately

  4. Why not use the rest of the season the develop the players? We're losing anyway and most likely won't win many more games.

  5. Every time Cade has a great game you label him a superstar and every game he struggles you start listing excuses. I believe he is neither a superstar nor a bust, but is instead a very good basketball player who is on an otherwise poorly built team. He can't carry this weak roster to success.
