I don’t usually GAF about many non warriors games,, but Friday’s Lakers/griz game gon be juicy.
I somehow had the displeasure of listening to locked on warriors this morning and my goodness the dude host might actually be any of the doomers lurking here. Bro took Boogie’s hating ass comments like words from the Bible. And later said replace Kerr with Brent Barry. Excuse me, Brent Barry? Seriously?
looking around the league specifically the teams who the warriors could look to fight with in getting into the playoffs over the next 3 or so months
lakers since they won the IST, their record is 3-9 … now basically in a tie with the warriors in the western conference standings … not sure they can pull a rabbit out of their hat again at this year’s trade deadline like they did last season too to help boot the roster down the stretch run of this season
jazz have won 6 out of 7 & 9-12 in their last 12 games and are now 1 game back of both the lakers and warriors for that #10 seed … actually don’t what the jazz are doing or what their short and especially long term plans are right now … it’s not like even after trading their star players from their previous run in mitchell & gobert who weren’t a legit title contending core that they are filled with amazing young talent … most of their best players in markkanen, clarkson, collins, sexton aren’t game changers who imo are top options on a contending team in the future … i mean that franchise will never be a free agent destination … and as of now they’re not getting high enough draft picks to potentially pick a franchise altering talent … seems as they’re stuck in NBA purgatory where they’re not good enough to be a legit title team or even a fringe playoff team at this point and not bad enough to get a high pick … most thought they were going to tank last season for a wemby or even scoot but that wasn’t the case as they overachieved … they do have a ton of future draft picks which they could maybe get lucky and find a franchise star in the draft or trade for a all star talent but again i don’t see the modern NBA star wanting to play in that city for a good portion of their NBA careers as we saw recently with mitchell
grizzlies when morant cam back looked like they could be a team to look out for making a big run the second half of the season and i guess they still could … but in morant’s return they won 4 straight but since have lost 4 of their last 5 … and if you look at their upcoming schedule for the next two weeks it’s a gauntlet … @ lakers, @ suns, @ mavs, clippers, knicks, warriors, @ wolves … by the end they could have a more worse record than where they were before morant returned
I’m bullish on the Dubs from here on out. Klay is…evolving into a different player who will be impactful. Kuminga is growing, improving moment by moment in the starting lineup. TJD and Podz have both been revelations. Wiggs we can’t trade with GP2 spending more time in rehab.
Curious to see what happens at the deadline with CP3, Moody and draft capital. Does MDJ risk tearing up the 2nd unit to go get added help? That seems like where the Dubs could test the waters.
Dray is coming back soon, Steph gonna Steph, so I believe this team is trending in the right direction. Give it 3-weeks and I think we hit our stride.
When can we expect an update on Klutchmond? its been 8 games. Expectation was 11?
