4 ways Kristaps Porzingis is making a big difference for the Celtics this season | Forsberg’s Four

[Applause] yeah day I’m Shin all fingers again step back long three and he goes what do we win this mik singers thought about it now he’s going to take it and make it good oh yeah oh yeah is takes it makes it nice look M Kell spotted by porzingis

And a lot of traffic as twoing throws it down hard porzingis deep three one the logo oh that’s huge that is huge un real [Applause] time so many dunks and blocks it’s insane time now for bringing the heat brought to you by Eastern Propane and oil there in your neighborhood here’s a

Look at porzingis Stats so far this season he’s scoring over 20 points per game on a career high also 53 12% shooting that leads us right into forsberg’s four and forsberg it’s all about Chris Stats porzingis today so look I mean when they traded for him and because the emotional attachment with

Marcus Smart I was like I don’t know how this is going to work like Marcus had such a good rapport with that core how would crit KP fit could he like stay healthy all these things and man like through the first 33 games here it has

Been nothing but a joy to watch him play second in net rating on the team and the numbers are just off the chart so I tried to pick four that I really like and it’s difficult cuz there’s so many out there but we start first number is

21.6 and this is christs porzingis is career low usage rate so at every other stop in his career he sort of been the focal point or at least used a lot more than necessarily has in Boston one of the things he had to do coming to Boston

Was sacrifice and he has embraced that but he hasn’t he’s traded probably Touches for efficiency and then right now he’s averaging 132 points per 100 shot attempts that’s in the 82nd percentile per cleaning the glass number two in the league among all guys with high us like that 44 players are

Averaging 20 points but only one of them needs only 13 shots per game Jimmy Butler is at 14 but for me comes down to efficiency like he could take 20 shots per game he could do it but all he wants to do is win and boy he been efficient

At doing it and like look there might be times when that us rate needs to go up but right now he’s making the most of every opportunity he’s given and being great with it it’s almost like porzingis is welcoming that sacrifice because he doesn’t have to be the guy as you throw

Out your C card right there forb says the cards are too big so he just fed up with them what’s your next one all right so producer Max gave me some gigantic cards for this this week so we’re just going to have fun with these I’m going

To go full David lmer tossing me at you at the second number 1.46 that is uh that you might say hey this sounds familiar that is Chris STS poring as points per play on post-ups this season I’ve done this number in the segment before but we’re doing it again

So get used to it because it’s so good right now porzingis is on Pace to put up historic numbers among anyone that averages more than two post-ups per game he is shooting 81% at The Rim overall in part because he’s just so big and you

Put Dennis shuder on him he is going to roast him but even if you throw Mitchell Robinson or any big man at him he’s still going to cook them because he’s just uses his length so well I love watching them take advantage of mismatches seek that out oh you want to

Put Tyrese Maxi on me I just going to sh over the top of you this is what’s crazy to me Chris S porzingis is shooting 75.5% when defense is considered tight 0 to 2 feet from the nearest Defender it goes down to 30 8.2% when he’s wide open

So put Defenders on him because instances like that in the post he’s been great again this could end up being a historic number at least since the NBA has started tracking postup but Chris porzingis and historic numbers as you throw the card yet and that one was

Perfect right at the gim what’s the next one that you got for us third number 5.3 this is Chris porzingis his block percentage this season he’s on Pace for his best rate since coming into the league in or or since his all-star year of 2017 and 2018 it’s up from 4% last

Year here’s the thing every game we turn on right Chris is blocking something and it’s almost incredible to me that he doesn’t lead the league in blocks but he’s had so many good nights there’s been two games with six blocks and seven games with three blocks or more he is

Such a safety net on that back line I think it’s it’s evident Amina when he’s not there all of a sudden like guys are getting past your first line of defense and they’re finishing easier at the basket when Chris ABS is back there they at least have to think about you know do

I really want to go up with it and it culminates right there with our favorite highlight of the Season look at the reaction the W game-winning Block in Memphis and then given the little uh yeah just just uh his the number here that that I should also throw in

Boston’s defensive rating is at 108.9 with porzingis on the floor take away trash time and they’re actually 3.6 points better when he’s out there he’s making good things happen that reaction is just the best it’s just the hands out and just shoulder after he’s just like

Well that one just fell apart well we had to what tape on that one we got to get glue next time Max come on all right last but not least what do you got for us this might be the highest number in forberg 4 history it’s 13 132 billion I

Had to estimate this one this is the number of smiles that I’ve seen from Chris porz since arriving in Boston he is perpetually F filled with joy and I think is what I love most about him you can see how much it means to him to be

Part of a winning franchise again to be part of something special that he knows the ultimate goal here is to get to the NBA finals and raise a trophy and he is willing to do whatever it takes to get to that point but especially when he’s with Jaylen Brown those Smiles seem a

Little bit more so uh I might have been a little bit off it might be be 131 billion but all I know due to smiling and with good reason the Celtics are great and he’s a huge part of it

  1. aged like fine wine, porzingis has come a long way and has matured alot. genuinely happy to be in boston and to be in a team where management has the right mindset and right usage of his talents.

  2. If Kristaps Porzingis stay healthy this season & consistent 2024 playoffs Boston big chance get #18 banner πŸ’ͺπŸ’ͺπŸ’ͺ

  3. He's been playing very well. He has a really good feel for the game. I'm looking forward to seeing how he plays in the playoffs because that's when I think he'll really shine.

  4. KP has the most swag and personality on this celtics team. just a joy to have on this team. he should've been earlier in his career. I'm definitely a card carrying member of KPs cult of personality. Best shotmaker on the Cs. and the biggest bonus? he turned down a max extension offer to sign for 30M per year for 2Y. that's 60M. he was offered 78M for 2Y. the guy turned down money and turned to be the best deal of the Brad era. He's a celtic.
