Frustrating to watch given his past performance last season. I mean the guy is bricking wide open threes.

  2. He’s a little frustrating to watch this year. The defense and rebounding is there but his sloppy turnovers and his offense have been less than desirable.

  3. Jacque_Hass

He’s a unique player and an asset as long as he stops taking shots he can’t make.

Keep it to driving the lane and I like him, like a wizard when going to the hoop.

  5. spiderman96

Maybe somebody should punch him in the chest on the sideline

  6. Skolcialism

love him, i believe his shot will bounce back before the end of the year

His inability/unwillingness to shoot the 3 is going to create matchup problems when the playoffs come around. He has a unique skill set and he’s been solid for us but I don’t think he’s in the long term plans based on his play this year

You guys love to shit on him, but for all we know he’s the glue in the locker room keeping this all together.

  9. Lungclap

Looked great last night, I wonder if his eyes have impacted his shooting at all.

Helps in in regular season, does little in playoffs, if we can move him for someone that can help more in playoff games we should (or for a late first) since we will lose him for nothing this offseason and he won’t do much for us in May and June anyway.

He’s still an asset, even when he’s ice-cold shooting. Solid defender, great secondary playmaker and solid slasher/interior scorer, seems like a good teammate and locker room guy.

Definitely don’t want to see him traded, unless its an offer we can’t refuse. He’s never going to be a good shooter, but he’ll regress to his mean eventually (he’s a career 34% 3pt shooter, he’s shooting a miserable 12.5% from 3 this year- !!!)

All I’m sayin is I think we could have Kyle and Troy both playing a clean 15 minutes

Well coming into this year my big worry was with Towns healthy and Naz getting his big contract, obviously SloMo would be playing the 3 more. And historically he’s been at his best at the 4 (just like historically Naz has been at his best as a small ball 5).

Defensively, he’s been shockingly good. I’ve seen Minnesota swap him out on guards getting hot, on bigs, he doesn’t get beat off the dribble nearly as much as you’d think, when he does, he’s hedging towards the big, not giving the guy the open side. Off ball, as good as a defender as the Wolves have.

He plays that P/R drop as well as anyone. Not quite as quick getting around the screen but just excellent at contesting on the close from behind. Such good hands and feet without fouling. Seriously watch his hands vs. Jaden. He uses that length so so well.

Offensively… yeah the 3 isn’t there. Kinda was hoping he could still be effective from the corner like he was the last season and a half, but not the case this season. He’s always been bleh above the break, dare him to shoot, and not efficient when he took that dare in years past. I don’t mind him avoiding that. He was having that issue earlier on with turnovers, seemed like every game there was one really bad pass a game, a toss to the corner with no one there, or a fast break and a pass a half step behind someone.

While losing that threat from the corner doesn’t help the offense, especially when Gobert is in, his ability to get the ball into the paint, to break down zones (the only guy on the team able to do that with any consistency), his threat on the break (rebound and push) is fine.

I keep hearing him pop up in trades to young teams, and I get it. Kyle and Naz are the only non-starters with any real value (Leonard Miller maybe, early 2nd round pick, but hasn’t done much of anything this season and looks quite inconsistent in the G league) and doesn’t help much with salary matches.

So it’s Slo mo for this or that trade. I get that, hardly any picks and they aren’t good ones to move. Shake, TBJ, Wendell, Minott, Jordan etc are all zero to negative assets. If you want them, they’ll likely be free agents in a year (or players of that caliber) on the cheap. So it’s Slo Mo or Naz. I don’t think a young team really would want Anderson. I think he’d be one of the ones thrown in to make a trade works where picks and a couple players are coming in and the team just really wants the picks part and released the vet showing up. They aren’t getting him on a bargain, they aren’t getting him on a team friendly long term deal, he’s not a player anyone is hoping will develop into something more. He’s a fine rotational piece on a playoff level team where things fit together.

He’s a glue guy and a locker room guy. I think we should glue him to the locker room! Seriously though he’s missing even layups that he made last year. It’s his confidence. He just needs that one game that things start to fall. He’ll be alright.

  15. Him and Jaden have been let downs. If they figure it out we will be beastly

  16. MentalMost9815

He’s cool because he can play any position on the floor. But he just can’t shoot.

  17. Difficult_Arm_4762

He seems like a good teammate but I cringe on Kyle Arthritis Andersen’s three pointer, he can make plays just do what you need to at the time

  18. Birdhairs

His defense and playmaking are good, but holy shit idk how you can go from being pretty decent at layups in previous seasons to being unable to buy a bucket this year.

  19. jaltringer

He throws the ball too hard off the backboard

  20. huffinator20

He has been really bad. If he doesn’t turn it around we need to look at moving him in my opinion. Worked better last year as a 4 while Kat was out
