I wanted to take a moment to write a quick blog about my first time experience courtside at the Sixers Vs Jazz game today.
This was a bit of a special game that I wanted to goto because I grew up a long time sixers fan but I was also stationed in Utah for 7 years while in the military. I had Jazz season tickets for 6 out of 7 of those years as I’m just a sports lover in general.
I’ve been out of the military for a while now but this games always been on my radar to goto just from the novelty of these 2 teams being a special part of my life for a long time.
I kept a close eye on stubhub the last few days. This morning I woke up and saw Section 101 AA on the market for just over $200 a pop. I couldn’t believe it as everything around it was trending well over $700 at minimum and some well over $1000. I quickly picked up the seats for my wife and I but I had no idea what to expect.
It turns out these tickets came with premium parking in lot C which was also 20 feet from the premium entrance.
They also came with special access to the Shift4Club. This club is at the floor level and has 2 full bars, a buffet, and bistro. There are 3 different wristbands that you get depending on the package you chose with your season tickets. Red is unlimited food and drink. Blue was unlimited drinks. Black you had to pay for both food and drinks out of pocket. We got lucky as our tickets we bought awarded us red wristbands. There’s really now way of knowing this when buying your tickets 3rd party unless it’s noted somewhere in the notes.
The Club also had a separate entrance down to the floor from the club. You got to walk right past the Sixers bench which was pretty cool, in order to get to our seats.
We were seated right next to the announcer Matt Cord behind the scorer table. All the players checked in right in front of us and we got to hear all the ref personal conversations. Very personal experience.
Even got put on the Jumbotron with my wife early on for the “best drip” as my wife and I dressed up for the occasion best we could knowing we would be on TV all night. Matt Cord made sure to make fun of my shirt saying “that’s interesting, never seen a shirt like that.” 😅
Even though it was a loss, it was very much worth the experience! Go sixers!

That’s pretty awesome you got that on Stubhub for that price and looks like you had a great time despite the outcome. Can’t imagine what being in a box or on the floor would be like. Sports tickets are for the most part out of reach for a lot of people. Haven’t been to a Flyers game in forever, we get to Phillies game once or twice a year. Anyways thanks for sharing.
