Will say this uh based on his game and the way that he does play I will say this I feel like LP will be very durable for his career let’s not going Wi on that because I’ll say this even though he’s not a guy that gets a million

Blocks he plays is low to the ground he’s very Stern he’s very strong uh he’s someone that’s really great with his feet and he’s not sloppy as sloppy as he may look in terms of like his body movements a contra he actually is not like not that bad in terms of just

Overall uh durability so I think that pending Health like you stated with the previous other guy I think that he could definitely reach uh that level I mean shout out to Stony you know we did talk about him looking like Durk and he did call us out on zero gravity Apollo’s NBA

Rockets I mean he was an absolute sniper from downtown he was six of eight from three like he every shot put up he got it it felt like it was going in every time he shot last night well it it’s cool though too because I’m starting to

Kind of and I mentioned this last episode I’m really starting to feel like they are really started they’re going to start going more into that inside out offense where they’re going to let Alper and shenon cook and kind of let and kind of like we’re going to adjust to

Whatever they do if they double M then we’re going to make them pay triple we’re going to make them pay but if you are going to go one-on-one then LP is going to make you pick so it’s kind of like it’s it’s very it’s a simplistic offense but I’ve been noticing them

Running that set it’s very more it’s very much 93 94 the rud offense a bit quicker obvious NBA game would call it a hybrid of that because it’s almost like cuz there’s more there’s more back door Cuts happening a lot more motion action it’s not just to stand around and wait

And see it’s not Kenny Smith and Vernon on the outside so there’s a lot more movement I think it’s like a hybrid um overall like look the back court Jaylen green didn’t have a fantastic game he shot five of 15 but he did end up one

For seven yes so he ended up really getting hot in the third and fourth quarter which we really desperately needed in terms of running away with this game y um the back court combined for 35 points um Fred V I think you know his statline was super underrated he had

The highest plus minus on anyone on the floor a plus 24 while he on the court um Fred just doing Fred things he’s playing 30 he played 35 minutes last night so it’s not it’s definitely lower than his usual output he’s been averaging like 37 to 38 minutes so I’m happy he only

Played 35 um shout outs to the sorry go ahead I was in oh well you do your thing well I was going to say shout outs to uh shouts to amen Thompson and cam wh That’s I want I forgot to shout out amen yeah I know so we had 10 points from

Amen Thompson 10 points six rebounds three of seven from the field one of three from three um it’s impressive stuff it’s a very very good good stat line but look question though in terms of what these kind of the I guess the 2023 draft has provided for us now

You’re starting to see them gain a little bit of confidence each game with More PT that they’re getting yeah what have you seen from the back court at least I’m not back I’m sorry from the from the draft picks these past two games first let me let me uh speak on

Amen amen Thompson uh the past few games since he’s come back you can see that he’s starting to get more comfortable in terms of uh having the ball in his hands his decision Mak has been a lot better and I’m very happy to see him be aggressive and getting to the hole I

Believe I saw that he was three of seven from the free throw line but I’m happy to see him get free throw attempts cuz that’s what you want he’s very aggressive last G very aggressive and that was something that I would i’ loved to see because amen’s moves getting to

The bucket are there once he gets a little bit more strength in that body of his like he’ll be able to get around these guys and get into these guys but I’m very happy to see the way that he is progressing just so far I mean I know

That a lot of people were expecting a ton out of him to start before he got injured and then when he came back and then it kind of slowed down because of his illness but I think a men is right where he should be at this point in time

He’s been able to watch games kind of see and figure out his fit in terms of the team we’re starting to see him play alongside of Fred Van vet as well to kind of alleviate his responsibilities with the ball and allow him to learn to play off the ball and we’re starting to

See a little bit more of him and shooting he hit a three last night guys off of a Fred Van vet assist at the end of a shot clock okay that is something that we want to see if a men can hit that consistently uh we got the next

Star in our hands absolutely and then cam Whitmore as well I mean we’ve been clamoring for cam Whitmore to play uh we knew that he’s been lighting up the g-league and the offense has been struggling for this team so to see cam Whitmore come out firing uh no

Hesitation the like it’s it’s it’s wonderful to see we’re so happy cuz we understand that that we need help Off the Bench and Cam’s right there the one thing that I will say is that once he starts to kind of learn uh his place on

Defense you can still see him get a lost a little bit he starts to kind of like lose himself when it pertains to rotating on defense that come more reps though yeah exactly it’ll come I mean it’s working be it’s it’s good now because we’re starting to blow out these

Teams and it gives cam a little bit more run and I’m very happy about that CU it’s good to just get him on the floor once you kind of see that and eem is able to work with him more in game activity then we’ll start to truly see

The process turn and you know you see those uh those wheels turning in his head I just think that like even if he can just shoot the ball just like that uh you know we got the next Jamal Crawford in our hands absolutely yeah he’s a big time shooter I I really

Enjoyed watching him the flu the fluidity in his game as well last tonight um he’s he’s very Fearless when he steps up uh on the court there’s no hesitation in his game strong he had one strong drive to the rim he had three threes uh during the game against the

Brooklyn Nets and he shot it with no hesitation I think that’s the biggest thing here there’s no lack of confidence in his game absolutely not so that that that’s huge and you kind of need that as a young talent to not know any better amen is starting to get a little bit com

More comfortable but it’s odd it’s almost as if Cam Whitmore looks more comfortable just based on his uh confidence alone so I mean amen is still in my opinion the more smoother of the two just because um I think his smarts overall but I’m not trying to compare

Either but bottom line is that we just need these two to continue to contribute especially with when there’s someone like Dylan Brooks out or you know not going to with anyone else if anyone else ends up getting injured you need these young rookies to kind of step up and

Take up this moment it’s so reminiscent to the 20072 2008 Rockets when Aaron Brooks and Carl Andrew both had to step up when they were their their PT was pretty sporadic the first like quarter of the season and then when players started going down Ali being Tac I think for Aus missed a

Handful of games as well um you needed the young players to step up and that’s what Carl Andrew and Aaron Brooks did it’s very reminiscent of that it’s like you know take the Baton and run with it next man up and I love the idea of what these young players are doing and

They’re doing it with confidence so you can always appreciate that very very good game overall from the Houston Rockets they buckled it down as well on defense cannot talk about the defense enough I love the fact that you know F van did say like you you sted earlier

That he can’t I’m sure you know he cussed them out and then he said you know Step Up on defense do exactly what put you there that was one of my keys to the game to the Brooklyn game was to do what got you here play defense Play

In night out he’s the reason why we’ve been in games he’s probably one of the main reasons why we’ve been winning the last couple games I mean the man has been dominant absolutely dominant on the offensive end uh he’s improved bit on the defensive end and just to see the

Way that he’s been playing he’s he’s upped it up a notch to where it’s like it’s literally becoming where it’s like he’s Unstoppable and you know we got to give him a shout out as much as we always want to change the status quo in terms of like trying to be different

There’s no reason to be different for this dog of the week because Alp deserves it uh vote for him to the All-Star Game he’s been playing his ass off for this team and I I just think that like he is he’s the dog of the week

Like I don’t know where else how else to explain it we talked about him a lot during this episode and it’s like yo as he as he should be sh the the the night and shining armor because I mean like think about like this if we were in any

That they can bring in to stop him Rudy goar Kony towns uh Nas Reed three guys that could potentially body Alp uh that can relatively stay fresh as well I mean more less Carl Anthony towns but more Rudy goar obviously former Defensive Player of the Year NZ Reed like they

Have a three-headed monster of bigs that could potentially be thrown at LP so I think that the guards and our bench definitely need a help we need everyone to contribute and understand like this is going to be what it’s going to take to beat a top seed like Minnesota uh

Number two keep making buckets shoot the three ball well um Minnesota is definitely up there in terms of defensive rating that’s why they’re the number one seed the they’re they’ve been very consistent so far uh so we just got to hit buckets when given the opportunity do not miss out on these

Opportunities we got to understand that we can’t miss these we got to take our opportunities when they’re presented and you just you got to convert you know you got to convert on second third down if we’re going to talk about football football terms right uh and the third

Possible to stop him the man has been playing on another level all year but he’s definitely someone that we have to look out for so the the defensive end for our guards whether it’s Jaylen Fred uh even you might even see Jabari on him and switches and aen uh cam Aaron

Holiday that might throw multiple bodies at him so every and even J Shante let’s not forget about him but we’re going to see a lot of these guys uh playing up on this team so we’re going to definitely need an out effort so with all that being said my final score Ken 113
